AEM V.1 tuned with V.2 software

i have an AEM V.1 on my Evo 8 and we tuned it with the V.2 utility. Everything went ok on the tuning part. Both dyno and road.

When on dyno we had some issues with the battery (odyssey) so we changed it. After i got home and turned the car off and then on, the idle was going to 4000rpm. It did not drop whatever we tried. I uploaded an older tune (using V.1 software) but the problem remained. We tuned again for lower rpm but the problem insisted. We tried and uploaded the latest tune 2-3 times and that seemed to solve the problem. However, when we took the battery out and back on, we faced the same issues again.

Also the head lights dont turn off when i turn off the car and one gauge stays on even when i remove the key from the engine. I dont know if something is wrong because i used V.2 software on AEM V.1 or the damaged battery caused some electrical problems.

They dont all sound related. I dont see who the AEM would make your headlights stay on...i would suspect thats a separate issue.

Whats the voltage is your system like? I've had my car do odd things due to low voltage.

I never knew the aem v2 software could be used to interface with the v1 box.

Yes people have done it. Mainly in the Honda world. I still don't see the point and IMO you are exposing yourself to uncharted/unsupported territory with possible bugs and finicky behavior.

The V1 software works just fine - if you have mastered the software.

It sounds like you need to calibrate your ISC better along with your Idle/ignition/fuel cut tables.

I am curious about this, Is it just modifying the cal with V2 software saving then uploading through the v1 software? I havent mastered V1 at all and V2 software seems to be better organized

Yes you 100% can use AEM Tuner for a series 1 aem unit. I think AEMPro is much better.
