Exhaust

Yuckfu

Exhaust system is stock from engine to rear axle (which is 80% of system) and the tail pipe muffler tubing is 56mm versus the stock 40 - 41mm.

We could add: good extractors, good flex pipe, new cat converter, change pipe diameter to rear axle to upgrade and make more power.

We actually manufacture all the gear that went onto car, however a customer can have this performance for AUD$5200 fitted.

This thread is older than the hills, but the Lancer is still going strong. Corollas are seriously small fry when the boost is flowing into the 4G93. The amount of cars that have been mercilessly flogged by the stock looking Lancer coupe is mounting by the day.

Hopefully the setup for the 1.5s is only a few weeks away so the 1.5 owners will be able to share in power haul

N/A corolla's may be small fry, but put a turbo 4A against a sh1tbox SOHC 4G93 and the corolla will wipe the floor with the prancer.

Yeah OK, i might drive up to Mackay OR i could just go out the front, take MY Lancer for a spin, rev it to 5000rpm and feel how harsh it is and then pi55 myself laughing at riceboys who think that SOHC Lancers are a quick car.

WOW I can see why you are a bit bummed with Lancers, if yours will only rev to 5000rpm... the last time I looked my car will rev very happily to 7000rpm and still be pulling and the last time I hit the strip it did a respectable 15.646 sec and yeah I was and still am a bit dissapointed with that result as I have too much wheel spin but they tell me that I can do 1 of two things to the car to reduce the amount of time lost on wheelspin and that is to put in a LSD or better tyres and as far as N/A goes I like my N/A SOHC 4g93 Lancer

Really starting to hit the straps at 5000 and goes strong to 7000. Can't see what your problem is unless you have potatoes jammed up the exhaust of your machine!!

phhft 5000 rpm

even the dohc will go out to 8000 rpm without any complaints and is usally only thrown a gear change around the 6800 mark and thats only a 1.5 not the 1.8

Gee i really have enjoyed the past half an hour reading this and many other wonderful threads on these forums. It has been so wonderful knowing that there are so many people out there with such blind love for such an automotive ****can....

Can i ask - jus HOW do you guys manage to rev your "powahz" 4G motors above their rev-limiters? I really do wonder how a motor that was originally designed as a 1.5L putt-putt now produces such blistering levels of raw andrenaline pumping performace which you are all raving about....

FWIW - my little rolla does its job rather nicely thanks. So far it has cost me a massive $3000, outperforms ANY standard FWD lancer both in a straight line and on the track as well as most 6cyl family cars, and is RWD as well. Who here can say that?

Personally i think such ubundant love for the 4G motor is severly misguided.

Raptor - i would be HAPPY to run against you. But UNTIL THEN - save the "claims" of 13sec 1/4 miles..... do you actually know how much power is required to acheive that in a FWD???

Chowetime - show me the timeslips, and dyno sheets (with dyno sheets give the operator, software version, ambient temps, tyres, tyre pressures, dyno model etc etc so that i can give a fair comparison too) and then i might listen.

Personally i am yet to come across a prancer that equals or betters my little rolla.

My friend I so welcome your advance for a race, anytime will be the right time. I have a customer in Sydney that could hand you your butt at WSID if you like, with the wimpy 4G93. Just a pity Mackay is so far away.

If however you are coming to the Whitsundays or Airlie Beach for a decent Qld holiday drop in on the way past, you are most welcome and we will show you "around" the 4G93 we run.

well the the dohc motor is jap spec and will rev to 8000 rpm with no problems but if you don`t really want to believe this its no lose to me .
and for chowetime well i will leave it up to her to decide if she wants to post her dyno sheets and timeslips from the motorplex to back her claims
some ppl just can`t accept that anything but there own little make of car can do what the owners say

Fair enough come and make it 100% you will be the champ then, but I have a feeling your count may reduce to 97% rapidly.

I had one of those 4A corolla's once in the past, whew, those things are gutlessness personified.
