Camshaft
Camshaft
Hi guys,
Was lookin for a little advise.
Im am going to supercharge ( one of raptors ) my 4g93 lancer in say about six months. I firstly want to put a cam in it, so i was wondering if the supercharger gring from RPW will run ok on a N/A. Also what extra performance will i gaet with the cam and charger combo over just running the charger. Does any one know Dave from RPW email? I lost it.
Cheers

1) Cams and Superchargers work very well together, because it allows more air to be forced into the cylinder using less force. This has two effects
A) If you look at the compressor map, the less resisting pressure, the higher the CFM flowed (Higher efficiency - every rotation moves more air)
B) The less resistance, the less parasitic loss on the crank
So you gain both
2) Superchargers are designed for NA cars. It's called twincharging when you put both a super and a turbo charger.
3) Make sure whatever size cams you get, you have absolutely NO OVERLAP. Any overlap at all, will mean your will not hold boost and will get after burn (Unburnt fuel and air in the extractors)
Hope this info helps
