I got a question..

I'm sticking with a reflash, however if I get a alcohol kit, let's say i get reflashed with 100% methanol, can I still run 50/50mixture of water/alcohol?

I duno how easy/difficult it is to get methanol over here, but if I'm reflashed with one way, can I change the mixtures around without running into any problems?

I REALLY don't think so.

Looking forward to seeing this chart!!!

Thanks for the feedback Sean. AMS has awsome products, once I get back on the game, this kit will go on my future evo.

guys that are installing this on an 05 will have to do more of a custom install. With the active center diff and those cars that dont have the IC sprayer resevoir you would have to make your own fuel cell for it and make provisions to mount the pump elsewhere (active centerdiff is in the way) Sean and several others have done it but we are still working a complete "KIT" for you 05 guys.

Well, I went to the dyno today, conditions were not at all optimal, was way too hot in the shop. I didn't even have a fresh set of plugs but tried different things with the turnon point and such to see if I could get it the way I like it most.

Either way for those interested in peak numbers the car would make 388-394HP and 425-437ftlb Torque almost all passes without any cooling. I am somewhat pleased with it but I think there is some more hp with a fresh set of plugs. Typically that will gain 8-10hp.

The alky kit picked up alot, went from 353 to 394 on a hot day and from 333ftlb to 437 ftlb.

For the record, all the parts, I mean every single part is from AMS, it is the typical exhaust/intercooler/pipes/alky kit setup on an 03 car (still only 9.8cm hotside so the 05 guys should make more), what some would call a "stage4". I venture to say there is nothing special about these results and I am sure it would be easy to duplicate or surpass using said parts. All runs were made on 93 octane pumpgas with vp m1 methanol being injected.

Thanks to "Pastry Paul" of turbotrix fame for help with the car on the dyno.

On to the 1/4 mile attack.

Sean
