Ams Alky Kit!!!!

I am driving around my evo at 31psi on pumpgas all over the place, so much fun. This AMS alky kit is the bomb.

I mean it makes such a huge difference at that boost level. I am going to dyno it tommorow just to see the HP as I have already street tuned it. It is definitly a must do if you have the supporting mods. My car made 353 before on pumpgas no alky.

I am also taking it to the track this week.

I have all the AMS upgrades so far, not one part from another vendor, the best **** man.

Sean, did you have to make any mods to your map to dial in the alky?

Yes had to modify the maps bigtime for it to run properly.
Basically you are adding the methanol and removing fuel from the main fuel tables. What you end up doing is running a certain percentage methanol and it reduces knock and allows incredible boost levels. That has to be one of the most fun modifications I have done in some time it's some work getting it in but well worth it and the AMS kit is far better than the other competitors for many reasons. I am going to do a chart outlining the differences of some of the kits. This kit is also very safe, I cannot say that for some of the others.

Love it man, makes the car so much more powerfull, and no racegas is needed.
Well worth the price of admission.

This kit works very well even with the stock ecu as it has a progressive controller. The initial fluid volume, turnon point and gain with boost pressure increase can all be adjusted independently.

Results very soon.

Thanks for the info.. couple of questions, where does the nozzle install at? since the other kit installsright before the throttle body ....

Recommondations on Methanol,Alchohol or Water? Maybe a Mix? Availability of supplies also taken into consideration.

91 oct gas in SoCal is the worst.. What do you guys recommend for the most power... I have read a few discussions on this but wanted your opinions on it..

Most power,Engine friendly. So I can max out my stock turbo

well the nozzle we leave up to the customer for install but it needs to be installed at the upper IC pipe. We usually mount it about 10-15" away from the throttle body.

As far as a mixture goes that is entirely up to you. The most common is a mix of water and alcohol ie: windshield washer fluid. but for the most HP straight methanol is the best option. Finding it shouldnt be that hard. we are VP race fuel dealers so we have it at our disposal but I am sure there are several places in Socal that can hook you up. Order yourself a drum and that should last you a full race season.
