Limp mode mystery! 2013 Lancer SE 2.4 AWD
<Update: P0703 is the fault code>
Been having a problem that I can't seem to find anywhere online. For some reason a fault in the computer will cause a domino effect that starts with the vehicle not wanting to shift out of park. The solenoid won't activate. You have to keep pushing the break and wiggling with shifter until the solenoid finally activates for you to shift. This is the first issue. If left alone for a week or two, cruise control with stop working. Then the vehicle seems to go in a low power limp mode where there is no power on demand and the vehicle struggles to get much faster than 30mph. Breaks also start to feel weird at this stage.
Lights on the dash slowly appear over this domino effect also, getting worse over time.
The only temporary fix I have come up with is clearing all codes which will allow the car to function as normal until the computer gets the same faults which lead it down the path to limp mode.
No Idea what is going wrong. If there is a bad sensor, worn or damaged part, no idea. I've tried looking online for hours to see if this is a common issue or of anyone else has run into this set of problems to no avail.
