I am trying to convince my father to keep his EVO, he is planning on getting rid of it and either placing an order on the new super vette or ford GT. I was wondering what it would take to make the evo competive with these cars. Like the amount of money and the down time to have it done.

Just to clear things up... the new one is the GT the old one is the GT40.

The GT40 came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd at LeMans

why, because i wouldn't pay 150k for a car that barely outperforms a 50k corvette? c'mon. 500hp and it only runs a 12.2 with a 69.5mph slalom. the evo can run 12.2 with only a few thou in mods and stock evo slalom is 68.9mph. So basically, the evo can rival that performance for 1/3 the cost, but yeah, I'm an idiot

 

if i remember correctly its not ford that is recalling every car they ever built it GM. so get the GT

 

Yep and then you just crank up the boost on the gt and run 10's. if you are going to disrespect the gt then the ferrari 360 modena with only 400hp must really be a piece of ****. oh and the porsche 911 turbo....yeah that must suck too.
