Hi guys, I'm looking for a good performance shop. I live in Ottawa but I'm willing to drive to Montreal if I have too. Does anybody know a great place where they won't try to rip me off? Or is there any Canadian website for performance parts?

Around Ottawa I know there is Final Lap, but for some reasons I don't like them.

 

for the lancer, it's better to ask RRM directly, as a canadian you have a 5% discount on parts

 

He may be looking for a shop to do the work as well though.

 

Not that I am complaining but howcome? Are we saving taxes or what? That great to know.

 

Currency exchange and to promote Canadian business were the reasons if I remember correctly. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

 

ROCK posted it a few months ago in a thread, don't remember where... as we pay taxes and shipping more than in USA, Rock will gave us, canadians, a 5% discount, to help us having his parts

If you are looking for a shop to do it, maybe ask some DSM (talon/eclipse) shop in Ottawa? maybe there is not a lot however...

And for those folks who are a bit iffy about sendin' your hard-earned twoneys down to some shop in SoCal, I am gonna tellya right here that RRM is for real.

Les gars qui travail la bas va te donner les meilleur deals aux Etats Unis, en tabarnouche! Vas donnnez Rob un coup de telephone et lui, Il va vous tous expliquez, en masse, que' es ce qui va marcher avec tes et quelles produits va briser ton auto. C'est un vrai bonhomme qui ne cris pas ces clients.

 

Hum, I'll have to do calculations. I live in canada but my father have a lot/boat in VT, so I usually ship everything there.

Even with the 5% discount, I think it's cheaper to save duty (cuz we are paying 15% tax when it gets to the border) and save the shipping difference for the 70miles less transport it takes to ship to VT.

Anyhow I'm not at this stage now
