EVO VIII IX insurance costs

Hey i'm new to the boards. I'm planning to import a EVO up from the US soon. I'm just curious what the cost would be to insurance one, or if anyone has had any problems. I bet there must be a few guys on here that have imported one up successfully.

you might need to get the EVO appraised before you get it insured. I called my insurance company just out of interest; cars that are not sold on Canadian soil, especially if its not available in canada will need to get appraised.

You might want to crunch the importing costs before you do it. Canadian dollar is doing horrid right now

Didnt have any problems with my insurance company. They just wanted a copy of Form 1 and a copy of the registration and that was it. Got it insured no problem.
As for the value, the price i told them was the amount i paid converted in CAD $.
Im with TD Insurance Melcohe Monnex btw.
