Boost control limits of AP

I have an '11 X and should be getting my AP today if UPS is good to me. I was wondering what the limitations of the stock boost solenoid were? How much control of the boost curve will be possible? What benefit would I see if I swap out to a grimspeed 3 port setup? Would I gain anything going to a standalone ebc like an apex avcr? Thanks in advance.

Standalone EBC's are pointless, if you're struggling to get the stock solenoids to give you the boost curve you want then you should upgrade to a 3-port (Grimspeed, etc.). For stock or near stock applications though the stock solenoids are sufficient.

And a gentle reminder - if you put in an aftermarket 3port, you must get tuned for it, otherwise you will overboost and possibly damage your engine.
