Cobb AP OTS Tune reliability concern
Cobb AP OTS Tune reliability concern
Guys I 've read many post about cobb ap stage 1 ots map knocks,
So my question is doesnt that blown your engine after a while?
And yet i hear people say its safe to use ots map all the time.
Are they just ignoring the knock and dont know the consequences?

How many counts are you getting?
Also, the stock tune knocks very often (4-5 counts sometimes) your cars Ecu will start pulling timing at 3 counts.
so what your saying is ECU will pull timing automatically and the car will be reliable afterwards?
I am talking strictly stage 1 maps on the Cobb AP, does the ECU automatically corrects itself? Because I am under the impression you just Flash and drive,
I dont have a AP yet but i am researching the issues first before I buy.

As long as nothing is already wrong with the car the AP used correctly should be very safe and reliable. Now if you have the wrong intake for the selected map or the wrong set up for the map you may run into problems. The car runs so much better with the SF intake and inlet on stage 1 than it did when I was running the ETS on the stage one SF map.

I ran the Stg 1 OTS map for ~50,000 miles problem free. Then at 60000, did bolt ons and protune. 22,000 miles later all is well.
Bottom line: Your results may vary, but Cobb OTS maps are safe when applied to the correct setup.
