High rev issue....I don't know what to call it

So I've got the Cobb Stage 1 93 v201 map installed, and have never had a problem up until this past Monday and again today. When pulling through 2nd and 3rd, when it gets to 6-7k, there's this terrible jerking and it may just be me, but I'm fairly certain it shouldn't be happening. And I'm making an assumption it's the ECU/Cobb map and not something else. Maybe the colder weather?

I know the first thing I'm going to be told is to log it, which I will, but I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this previously. Thanks in advance for your help.

Best, Dan

Any codes? Is it a hard stop or just jerking?

Do you have a WB? Your describing misfires that could be related to AFR or an actual ignition event. Does it do this on the stock tune? Check your fuel pressure regulator line and/or FP relay.

Not sure if any codes have been thrown, I need to run it with the AP hooked in, will report back after. Definitely no CELs or anything. The first time felt like a hard stop and I immediately hit the clutch. The second was jerking at the top of 2nd and at the top of 3rd.

Haven't tried on the stock tune, but will try switching out the map to see if that changes anything. I'm guessing WB is wideband? If so, the answer is no. seeing as I've never had to look, where would one find their fuel pressure regulator line and relay? Is this something that would be reported during the logging?

This also happened to me going wot on 3rd gear to redline. The car suddenly jerks like somekind of fuel.cut or aomething. My afr was around low 13s at wot. I think its some kind of failsafe or something for going very lean at wot. During that run, i was running stage 1 93 oct. I uploaded stage 2 and problem solved. Fyi, i recently installed my ets dp when this occured. I have full boltons.

Not limp map, it's a bad FP relay.

thinking the same thing, see if you have the green or blue fuel relay.

Check it out there. 4 or 5 pictures down it shows your relay box under the hood. The one that is circled should be either green or blue. If it is black, take a note of how large it is. There was some talk about the newest relays being black but being larger than the smaller ones. Regardless of what you do have, it may be worth a shot picking up a new relay from Mitsu and plugging it in to see the difference. If you have a blue one, someone was posting that they were not sealed so maybe the cold weather is messing with it.

You should also get rid of the Stage 1 map. I started a thread on the Cobb forums, and they refuse to acknowledge it. Kind of frustrating.

I'm not sure if it's a fuel cut or timing got pulled. I'm betting it's the timing getting pulled coz of few factors.

Do a log so we can see.

If it feels like you ran into a brick wall then I'd say fuel cut. It's a very abrupt jolt and loss of power. When timing gets pulled hard it just feels like the power is falling off dramatically. Log it and get a pro tune. Also might be a good time to invest in a wideband.

Fuel pump relay has gone bad or perhaps the vacuum line has popped off the fuel pressure regulator. I would just switch one of your head light relays for the fuel pump, do a pull, and see if it makes a difference.

Same problem, I would get into 4th gear, 4k and get on it and it would sputter and jerk, i data logged a pull in 3rd and 4th and hit 22 counts at 3.8K in 4th (mind you this is a scale to 35) of knock...... Put on a full exhaust, blue FP relay, and went to a stage 2 map......BINGO! Never had another problem and it rips through the gears now no problem.
