COBB Mitsubishi Release - June 2013

COBB is proud to announce the release of updated off the shelf maps along with Accessport firmware and Accesstuner updates.

Off The Shelf Map Updates

Updated maps will apply to USDM 2011-2013 Mitsubishi Evolution X GSR and MR vehicles. The v401 maps will have a new strategy as far as each stage goes.

Stage 1 maps are calibrated for a completely stock vehicle and will no longer support an aftermarket intake system.

Stage 2 maps are now calibrated for cars utilizing a full turboback exhaust upgrade. In previous map revisions it was noted that a factory catback was sufficient. With updated tuning strategies we have discovered that exhaust backpressure created by the factory catback can be detrimental to power gains at this level.

Stage 3 maps will support the COBB SF intake system along with our COBB 3-port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid.

Accessport and Accesstuner Updates

The Accessport firmware has undergone some improvements that will vastly improve stability during flashing and map change processes. Users may notice a slight increase in overall flash time. We now also have the ability to generate error logs upon a failure. This will aide in diagnosing issues in the field and expediting the repair process.

Accesstuner software has also been updated to improve application launch time.

For more information on the added features, maps, and monitors please see our release notes and software documentation available here:

Thank you for the continued support!

At one point, an ETS intake map was planned. Is this still in works, or has it been dropped?

Here's the post where it was suggested it would be supported: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/co...ts-intake.html (Braden @ COBB, post 16)

Why is the KnockCEL flash disabled by default?

For the time being we will only be supporting the stock airbox and SF Intake.

Knock CEL was disabled by default as every car will have different appropriate values for slow and fast flash. This feature allows end users to set values that they see fit for modification level and use.

Well, you guys should know the appropriate values for the OTS staged vehicles I just figure you have a feature, might as well widely implement it...especially since it's a feature to help keep engines nice & safe!

I was thinking the same, but putting it back on isn't too hard. From what I saw it is set to 20 counts of knock for slow flash, and 30 counts for fast. Or is it completely turned off???

All you do is set slow flash to 4 or 5 and fast flash to 6 or 7 nothing else needs to be adjusted.

Cobb has so many maps for different set ups as far is Subaru is concerned but I feel that they are leaving the EVO X in the dust.

Have stage 1 93 v401 on stock 2012 GSR.
Pulls well - boost in right range.
Appears to idle better.
Accessport can log again with firmware update.
Looks good.
