COBB v402 OTS Maps for 2011-2014 Evo X GSR and MR
So I have a quick question: I was hanging with the guys at the So-Cal shop and I was told that there was enough leeway in the stage 2 maps that I could run just the Cobb HFC and be ok (obviously I wouldn't reach maximum potential though). I see in the Cobb support section there is a note about removing the factory boost pill for the stage 2 maps; yet there is no mention of it on the map notes. Should I be removing the factory boost pill if I'm running the v403 Stage 2 ACN map and just the Cobb HFC? Is it easy to reinstall if I need to put the OEM cat back on?
Ok so I found out the answer to my previous question and put the pill back in. The boost pill does remain in the line for these new OTS maps, although my car seemed to run fine without it. The guys at Cobb So-Cal said that everything looks good and the only issue is that it isn't generating as much boost as it could.

I know a drop-in filter of their own is due any day now so hopefully it'll be here sooner than later. I'm actually going to have my 15K servicing done and with it, I'll be switching to a Cosworth drop-in and will flash to their Stage 2 + CHFF map (already have a Perrin turboback). I'll post my experiences with it in a couple of days after Cobb So-Cal reviews the datalogs and ensure everything is running ok.
Just thought I'd share this...in case there is someone else who may run into this problem. I have a 2008 MR with intake, uicp, turbo back exhaust, boost pill removed, and a 93 octane protune. The v403 stage 1 and stage 2 maps require the boost pill to be installed ( I don't have it and am not going to go buy one). The v403 stage 3 map runs without the boost pill, but requires the ebcs (which I don't have and don't want to buy). This is only a problem for me because I am selling the car to someone who can only get 91 octane. The Cobb map archive (at lease the publicly accessible portion of it) no longer contains the v108 map that would allow me to flash to an OTS map for the new buyer to drive back home into 91 octane-land without overboosting.
I called Cobb and they are currently trying to track down a v108 map for my mods and 91 octane to remedy the problem...if they can't find it, I'll have to shell out the $115 for the ebcs to run a v403 stage 3 91 octane OTS map. Hopefully they can find the old maps and hopefully, they put them back on the map archive portion of their site.

Where are the Stage 1 SF 4.03 maps? I updated my firmware and desktop manager but don't see them there or on the Cobb website

hey was up guys I had asked about this before to im looking to do a stage 1+ SF intake tune and I have been waiting for a couple months for you to launch one. You had sent me one before but the ruff idling issues came back. previous evos from 08 have an option for stage 1 Sf why don't the 12,13,14 I paid good money for the tuner and im expecting you guys to put these maps out there to go with my cobb setup. I always feel Subaru gets the better end of the deal when it comes to AP MAPS and UPDATES
