Exclamation Help! COBB Stage 2 93 v403 (pulls attached)

Sorry i'm at noob at this. Just got my COBB AP this past weekend and did some pulls using the Stage 2 93 v403 map (not the LWG one). All pulls were done using 3rd gear. I think my knock counts are kind of high and would like a second opinion from more experience COBB pros. Any suggestions/opinions will be greatly appreciated. Here's more info on my car:

K&N Typhoon Intake
K&N UICP
ARK Test Pipe
02 sensor spacer
ARK Cat Back

Thanks in advance!

Your logs look fine to me. 23psig and a few minimal counts of knock. A stock car with stock tune will knock more than that.

Are you summing the knock columns? You need to look at individual cell values, not a combined total throughout the pull One run had a max of 1 count, two runs had a max of 2 counts, and one run had a max of 3 counts for a split second.

Is there a reason why i should not be concerned about the sum of knocks in my pulls? I did some research and the general opinion is that a string of knocks is bad. Please correct me if i am wrong. I DO plan on getting pro tuned soon. Thanks again Kracka, you are the man

A string of high knock is bad, 1-2 counts just isn't anything to be concerned about though, especially on a stock turbo pump gas car. Again, knock isn't something you sum, just like AFR, you look at individual cells, or small blocks of cells, not the entire pull overall. If you just can't get past it though, pull a degree of timing out in each cell where it's knocking 2-3 counts. If it were my car, and I was to make any changes, I would likely just pull a degree out above 7k RPM which is where you saw the 3 counts. You also have to remember that some knock is just random noise so a little here and there is to be expected, if it's repeatable and always happens in the same place then you can feel confident it is real knock. The knock sensor is really nothing more than a tiny microphone bolted to the side of your engine block.

Flash your stock ROM back on and do a few pulls logging your knock. I'm almost positive you'll see worse. It's not uncommon to see 10+ counts of knock on the stock tune, especially if you're an area with 91-octane (which is the minimum required by Mitsu).

On the v403 there is a note about requiring the blue fuel pump relay? Is this true? Where can I locate it?

I got mine from Kozmic, the newest fuel pump relay is black, FYI. They run about $8.

Is this just a preventative thing or is there actually a noticeable difference?

Well, if the relay goes bad you run the risk of ruining your engine, probably more-so with an aftermarket tune. There's a whole thread on the topic somewhere in here, I would advise you to check it out as there's tons of good info in it.
