Have a 2008 evo x mr with kn intake and uicp, ams dp, ultimate tp, and hks exhaust. Currently running on v403 93 stage 2 map and it's running pretty good. My ets 4" intercooler with upper and lower pipe and intake just got here. Was going to install the ets parts but was wondering which map safe to run until I get a dyno tune? Main difference is the 4 inch intercooler. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

 

The intercooler and pipes will not affect the tune, keep using the stage 2. Just rescale your map to your new intake, instruction can be found at https://cobbtuning.zendesk.com/hc/en...on-Spreadsheet

Thanks for that info. Another question, did a pull today going onto the highway notice boost spike up to 28psi tapering down to 21psi at redline then next gear max boost hitting 25psi tapering down to 21psi at redline. What is the target boost for the stage 2 map? Was reading about the ams boost pill. Will the pill fix the boost spike? I have a grimmspeed ebc but heard not recommended until dyno tune.

 

Boost target should be at 23.5 on stage two, you might want to try the LWG map. Also do you have the factory boost pills installed? They need to be on the 403 maps. Or or can also install the 3 port solenoid and run the stage 3 map, stage 3 maps have a 26.5 target and are made for a 3 port solenoid.

Yes factory boost pill still there. Haven't messed with any of those vacuum hoses. With the stage 3 map and 3 port ebc will I have to run without the factory boost pill?

 

You will replace all the lines to solenoids with 3 new ones that do not have boost pills, you can follow our directions even if you have a grimspeed. https://cobb.app.box.com/752750instructions
