accessport v3 evo x mr
accessport v3 evo x mr
thinking about buying the v3 today or tomorrow for my 08 evo x. I am the second owner of the evo x mr with 30k miles. heavily modded by previos owner with injectors, bov, catback, grimmspeed 3 port, fuel rail, ssp super transmission pump, 500 hp ssp clutch upgrade and upgraded seals, aem meth/water injection, aem inclosed intake. etc.. my question is how supportive is this going to be? im running pretty rich right now, and has gotten as low as 10.2 during a pull. just curious what everyone's thought is on this. and what kind of support is out there? Is there many people that offer theyre knowledge and services? I have a friend with an wrx and he has some guy out of colorado thats doing it for free off of a subaru forum.
If you decide to go the Accessport route, you will need to have the car custom tuned. You have quite a few mods that do not fall into a OTS map configuration, so I would recommend contact either a Protuner or Etuner so that they can discuss options with you.

I am from astoria, oregon so considering the fact i am 2 1/2 hours one way from any sort of tuner or tune shop. thats why im going the route of a cobb accessport or an etuner. really my only option for my location.
So your suggesting i do not buy the AP3 for tuning of my car? my location really sucks. and have never worked with an etuner or protuner before, once again any tips or suggestions would be awesome.. being as the current tune that came with the car and mods is not completely up to par and could be running ALOT better.

This back and forth continues till the tuner is satisfied with how the car performs based on the logs
There are quite a few capable e-tuners you can use
You can get an etune via open source or an Accessport. Both are capable of getting the car custom tuned to your specific mods list. I recommended a custom tune due to the fact that we do not have any "off the shelf" maps that will support your car. The list I linked you to has etuners listed that have experience etuning via the Accessport/Accesstuner software and should be able to get you taken care of.
