If mitsubishi is listening? Might as well pull the plug in the automotive business in the US. The Evolution series is the only model lineup that keeps mitsubishi relevant in the automotive world and the company decides to compete in market with luckluster styled imiev and outlanders? They have been compressed to the likes of Suzuki cars! Is this some sort of automotive harakiri?

Sure, it is delayed until the 2015 year。but why produce something boring and not marketable? Why are there no future or concept vehicles that foresee this plan of development?

"As Mitsubishi shifts its global lineup toward utility vehicles and electrified cars, it will pull the plug on the Lancer Evolution at the end of the nameplate's current generation."

After reading your link anyone with a brain would be like NO **** Mitsubishi sucks and deserve to loose a lot of money because they stopped making the only cars people freaking love EVO, Eclipse and 3000GT!!!!!

The I-MIEV ain't no savior

Per the article

The loss of the Evolution shrinks an already small lineup for U.S. dealers, who battle a dearth of fresh offerings, especially in the sedan segment. It also marks a departure for Mitsubishi, which once built a reputation as a purveyor of tech-savvy performance cars such as the Evolution, Eclipse and 3000GT.

Mitsubishi, riding record profits after years of losses, aims to lift global sales 29 percent to 1.43 million vehicles in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, from the 1.11 million it expects to have sold in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014.

^ 500hp GT-R hunter? Seems to be nothing more than speculation on what's already out there:

Remember Autocar.co.uk mentioned "reliable sources" pointing to a Concept-RA based Evo XI PHEV....

Mitsubishi is back to being a profitable company. The next generation of 'sports' car is just over the horizon and all signs point to a combination of hybrid technology and small turbo charged engines.

I suspect the BMW i8 pretty much shows us what we are likely in store for. Will just take a few more years for the technology to hit mainstream commerce.

Yup. The Outlander PHEV is getting praises left and right and being called a real game changer. Mitsu's future is bright

They sold 1400 little pieces of s*** Mirages last month! who would've thought lol!

My wife is dying for a white Concept-RA Eclipse lol

funny Honda just announced to give out contingency money for rally cars from this year... So Subaru Ford etc now from this year Honda support rally guys in the USA... and the Legend Mitsubishi Evolution (multiple Group N closest to stock group world champion etc) is actually finish the production of the Evolution...

So not just Mitsubishi North America lost they mind. Looks like the whole Mitsubishi car maker group is completely clueless. Producing green cars do not mean you have to stop making the car which is the ONLY one make headlines for you. The rest...

It is funny even Toyota coming back to rally looks like with a Yaris WRC , Hunday came last year or two years ago , Volkswagen with a Polo R WRC , Mini against all they so far bad luck , still pushing it...etc..

The rest of the world, rally is like the NASCAR for the USA. stockish cars ( what every body can buy and relate) racing ...

Only thing we have left if is that true , the stellar past of our cars. Because no future for sure if that is true. Without racing car companies will die or never move an inch forward. They would do MUCH better if they would do a same as Subaru does in rally . There is a good reason why even in a small miniscule rally scene in here the USA, is worth to invest for other much better and successful companies.
Mitsubishi doesnt even have to look far to see ...

It's obvious they are getting lazy with the evolution line

The X has been around for 7 years, which other model has had that long of a run?

Evo will sadly die in 2015
