The wing, grille, doors...
Maybe the Evo will take a year or 2 off, while they get their house in order. They are going to make a new Lancer, so that's more then half the engineering right there. I don't think it will take too much for them to produce another.
Has anyone else who has recently or previously purchased an evo received survey requests by Auto Pacific Vehicle Voice?
They claim they were contracted by Mitsubishi to survey current owners. This is a quote from the bottom of the email:
..................................."Your responses carry enormous weight when MITSUBISHI plans the next version of the LANCER EVO. Ratings from owners like you could also help the MITSUBISHI LANCER EVO win AutoPacific's prestigious 2014 Vehicle Satisfaction Award.

I dont know how accurate it would be to just survey 30 year old guys like me on a car like this. But if its only up to people like me you'll get a next evo that's pretty much an mr with all options, thats only because its what i'd like to have. HOWEVER what this car is/was/and-always-should-be is what the evo 9 was with as much design liberty taken on the drivetrain. Or at the very least just a pure sports car as it luckily still is, I understand that surveys like these are necesary but if Mitsubishi needs someone to tell them what the next evo should be, let be all of us (evo owners community) through the twitter account of Auto Pacific.
You want Mitsubishi to hear you, flood that twitter account with mentions regarding your Evo XI needs.

Or they could pay attention to what everyone is saying here and all over the web whenever any car blog/magazine posts some new rumor about the next Evo?
I mean, if I was a car manufacturer, I would be online in all blogs and mags and forums and social media listening to what people is saying about my cars... that's just me tho...

They are. Remember when they backed off of the rumor they were cancelling it altogether and came out and made a statement to the contrary?
I think as they get closer to developing it they want to hear more specific info from actual owners and not just the peanut gallery. Those of us who put our money where our mouths are.
Edmunds must know something we don't, they are calling for a Evo redesign this year... http://www.edmunds.com/model-year-changes/2015/

Well, the CEO said they are for sure staying in Illinois, they made a nice profit a year before they thought they would, they are selling so many cars (that are made in Illinois) overseas that they can't keep up, and they received a huge tax circumvention from Illinois to stay in the US.
I would caution people to stop listening to the doomsayers from the 'Jalopnik-level' of internet user. They are not exactly 'in the know'.
