I wonder what the ideal rpm for launching will be ?

WORKS can set the limiter to any RPM or remove it completely, with OR with out our P2 flash! We can also program 03 and 04 models that came with no limiter to have the limiter as well.

Check out the P2R in the WORKS Racing Program part of our webstore for more details, or just give us a call...

It's amazing what can be done with the Stock ECU when you know what you're doing isn't it!

Lets all thank Mitsubishi for leaving us with so much room to play.

Cheers !

Don't drink and drive!

I have no limiter on my MR. Anyone else not have the 5K launch control? I sometimes wonder if they sold me a fake?

I would like to see some timeslips with 60fts on the 5000rpm rev limiter. That will tell the real story.

On my MR, I found it works best for me to just keep jabbing the throttle since it won't pass 5k and then slip the clutch enough for it to start rolling then just let it out faster, when I do this properly The MR comes out of the hole pretty quick with some wheel spin towards the end of the launch, then it just goes.

According to Mitsubishi, all the 2005 Evo's get it, not just MR. And based on the dozen or so Evo's we've tested since 2003, I'd say 5,000 rpms is to low to launch properly if you are going for fastest quarter-mile.

I have about 70 of them along with full datalogs. Tonight was a 1.71 60' off the limiter and a 12.36 E/T on the MR.

Hope no one tries to tell me that you can't launch off the limiter, it's what it's there for. Well almost. I have been through this already in another thread. Average launch is in the high 1.7's.

I managed a 1.83 on the limiter. I tried launching off the limiter and the stock clutch wouldn't hold it tring to launch at 6,000rpm Having the stock limiter raised to 5,500-6,000 I think would be the sweet spot. The boost was at 7psi when I launched on the limiter. so with 6,000 and 7psi it would come out crazy

I got a 1.836 off the limiter as well..I was WOT with boost built up all the way when I let it go..That pass was by far the best for the clutch compared to trying to keep it under 5 and still get a good jump..I an now a believer in launching off of the limiter at boost..
