Cool Ran 12.0 with minimal mods!

Hey,
Just wanted to share that my car ran a 12.0 @ 115.8 and not much has been done to it. I have been checking the timeslips and it doesn't seem as though many people are reaching these numbers without more done to the car.

I ran the car at e-town (new jersey) a couple of weeks ago and ran a 12.4 @ 114. When my friend and I went to a track rental at Lebanon Valley (NY) I ran a 12.3 and shifted way too early out of 1st gear. I knew that the car had the potential to do 11's that day. Jay (owner of Hass Autoworks in CT) drove the car and ran 12.0. When I went to try at it myself, the clutch gave up. The car only has 1200 miles on it but thats what ya get! He cut a 1.73 60' and I ran pretty close with a 1.74 60' so we know that the car has more potential the way it sits and can easily run 12.0's all day. Now it just needs a new clutch.

Here are the mods:
Hass Autoworks Upper IC pipe and Intake pipe
E-manage (awesomely tuned by Jay)
manual boost controller set at 22 psi
mix of 116 octane and pump gas
full weight, spare tire included
no exhaust was on the car

Jay did a great job setting the car up and I wanted to pass the times along for those of you who may also run at the track.

No offense, but are you male or female? I once knew a girl named Keely. This is pretty damn laudable. Do you have timeslips or any pics of the car? Also, why did you go with E-manage?

I am a female, I live in CT...not sure if it's me you know or not. Thanks from both of us for the kind words. E-manage...a. bang for the buck b. stand alone tuning capabilities along with factory ECU safety and reliability.

Yeah, I'd say 116mph is top-rate for no cams. Having NO exhaust is even better than full 3" exhaust, so that's a bonus, but I think the key here is that you were able to get the most out of those mods while using race gas. The difference between my old Talon with and without race gas was usually a 12.9 and a 12.1. Of course, with the race gas, I turned it up from 19psi to 22-23psi while also adjusting the S-AFC settings.

Wow sweet time, you have the fastest time by a girl right? I believe you do, I know Tracy Shayhorn owns a low 11 Second EVO, but I don't think she has ever driven it to it's best time, another driver ran the low 11 Second pass. So I think you do have the fastest time for a girl.

Really good times for what you have done to the car, must be a really good tune. Is the stock blow off valve giving you issues holding the 22psi steady? Most people with Evos have a hard time getting them to hold past 20-21 steady. Great time though, keep it up, 11's are just around the corner for ya!!!

You unbolt the DP at the o2 housing and go crazy. It can be done anywhere, as long as you can get to the DP nuts and disconnect all the hangers. Of course, it's easire to do it at home or a garage, but then yo have to drive to the track with open exhaust, which can draw some attention.

I used to do this on my FWD Eclipse, mainly because I didn't feel like buying another exhaust (had 2 DSMs). It worked quite well, but was annoyingly loud.
