That is honestly really great. Props to your tuner guy and your driving

I drive like crap, spent thousands of dollars and my boyfriend barely beat your time. I am also not what you could call an expert tuner as I we do it all ourselves. I enjoy learning how to do all these things. It is something fun for me and my boyfriend to do together so its great.

Everytime we go to the track we get faster and faster. The last two times we went to the track we didnt change anything on the tune or adjust even a screw and gained .4 seconds in about 5 runs. I am starting to think that I will need to actually start tuning the car more aggressively or changing the tune shortly as the MPH just seems too low still. I trap consistantly at 118.7-118.9. Granted the temps at the tracks both days were well over 90 degrees ambient (In the shade) but it still seems a little low for 26psi or so. Maybe we will tinker with the tune before we go out again and unlock some power. Another problem is the turbo has the E Cover which may be holding back some power, Im not sure. Oh well, its all in good fun :P

holy hell without cams? That is some good trap speed for no cams. That is probably what I would be trapping on 22psi, but I have cams. My friend has run a few 12.0s at 114-115mph but he has 272s.

Jeez Jay, your shop name is just like an 80s metal band. Don't forget the umlaut over the "a!"

I guess I am saying that at 22psi of boost, stock turbo and thier mods, it doesnt seem right to me. To pick up that many more mph than you did takes power. Think of thier mods and yours and figure out how they got 50 more than you got... also think about what your boost was when you made that run and thiers... 22 psi doesnt seem right at all. Im sure yours was around 25ish? I may be wrong in the whole idea but for some reason it doesnt seem right. Who cares really anyways honestly? I enjoy driving and thats that. I just have too many people tell me how fast thier car is but whenever I finally give them the time of day and line up with them they lose horribly. Mustangs are VERY common... most with superchargers and whatnot that claim to have 500 at the crank but somehow lose to me at 19psi... god forbid I run a little more like 25. Oh well, I dont really care, I was just *****y because of my crappy times from my tranny and my lack of knowledge and skill of launching the bigger turbo. I hope to rectify the launch and HOPEFULLY the transmission problem before next Sunday to try again. Hopefully I will get thrown off the track for hitting an 11.49
I ran a 12.3 running 21psi, stock turbo, stock clutch, no boost controller - only Ecutek. My trap wasn't quite as high, though - only 330/330 to the wheels. Hope to be in the 11s soon, although my clutch is nearly kentucky fried so my drag racing days are on hold right now, hehe.

Glad to see more girls with evos that can drive. We're few and far between.

LOL What's up Shape...long time no talk. Still got the - now classic - 2g?

From that site: The German word Umlaut roughly means changed sound, The sounds represented by the umlauted letters in these languages are typically front vowels (front rounded vowels in the case of ü and ö). Ironically, these sounds tend to be perceived as "weaker" or "lighter" than the vowels represented by un-umlautted u, o, and a, thus failing to create the intended impression of strength and darkness.

And that's about it. Most don't pronounce the name right so ä got stuck in over a for proper pronounciation. It's said HAHZZ with a light A and not H-*** as in *** with an H in front of it. LOL

As for this thread...Keely, glad you got to post. I made a nice long one, thought I posted it and it was actually in preview and I blasted it. Bleh...

Basically, the EVO market is so saturated it's going to be very hard for a shop/company to make a living off of EVO sales alone. Owning and racing Mitusbishi's for the past decade we are just tinkering around with Kay's EVO for fun. What this is probably going to lead to is us producing an upgrade package for the car born more out of being an enthusiast than some kind of business plan.

I recently (Yesterday) finished up what will probably be our "Stage-I" package and jigged all the parts. Figure about 330whp, 112mph traps with an ET totally dependant on how hard you want to drive it but a 12.3 is not out of the question.

What it consists of is:

I figure we can retail this for around $1500-1700.00 complete.

Stage-II would probably add one of two options. a 3" DP with a 3.5" electric dump that allows you to flip a switch and open the exhaust at will and cruise with the stock 60mm piping for day to day driving (Stage-I performance) or a full 3" exhaust. Not sure which or maybe even both can be had.

Like I said this is more of a side thing for us and we are not trying to market this agressively right now as we design and manufacture turbo kits for other applications as our primary business. (Lotus Elise is on the block and under development as we speak.) But if someone would want to do this, we can produce it and ship it out in about a weeks time.

I plan on dynoing both stages and taking some pics in the near future and actually have a friend with an 04 RS coming in to replicate Kay's car ("Stage-II" I guess.) over the next couple days so we can see results on a couple cars and you guys can see the design we did on the MAF and intake pipe.

Right now, I'm just having fun with the EVO as I am still an enthusiast and like to forget about business and enjoy my hobby sometimes outside of the day to day car business stuff.

See you all soon, thanks for reading.

            Hey everyone,
I wanted to just add that I am very happy with the car...it feels great, there is a huge difference over stock-it's worth every penny. Thanks to Jay for putting it together for me!

Same here but life circumstances and scheduling was preventing me to get the clutch in the EVO before the event and us being able to go. Sorry we missed it.

It would have been really nice to dip into the 11's with the same basic mods if we could. Oh well, there's always next time I suppose.
