trap speed of 100mph...
trap speed of 100mph...
i was just curious since trap speed is a good indication of HP. Whats strange is that i was running 13.3's. on an 03 with exhaust and cat delete. i have a buddy with the exact same set up we're both gettin 1.8X 60' times but he's trapping 105-109. we're getting basically the same times 13.2-13.3.
anybody care to share shed some light on this?

I'd have to see the 1/8th-mile splits explain it better. If he's hitting 109 and only 13.2-13.3, then my bet is that he's a terrible driver while you are a very good driver.

the only thing We can think of is the difference in D.P's I have the HKS 2.75 and he has the helix 3.00. i'm thinking that i have better low end and midrange and he has the better top end which is why it seems likes he's pulling on me after ~60-70 MPH.
i guess i'll have to change D.P's one of these days and do some highway pulls to see how it feels compared to the HKS.

Even if he's at 105-107, he should be in the 12s...
i've run 13.6 @ 100 mph.here in hawaii. we have slower times accross the board. i think its cause of the high heat/humidity. this is w/ stock exhaust.
a better example is my s-10. it used to run 16.9 consistant, but the more power i added, the slower the times. i.e 17.1,17.2 but my trap mph went up. i had a harder time hooking up the more power i added!
