Well guys.... as you may or may not know i have been fighting to hit 10s on pump gas with stock motor (besides cams and headbolts) , stock ignition, stock intake manifold and throttle body and stock front diff (killed the second one now) and tranny. Here is a link to the motor setup ( i feel with almost 130mph traps that the car is making more then it did on the dyno....
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=149659

Well here are the races we did in order of links (oldest to newest)

11.3 at 126.4 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=153046

11.3@125 11.5@127 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=153903

11.2 at 128.3 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=155354&page=3
on this run i broke my stock front diff and towed it home not knowing originally what was wrong....

well tonight i ran 2 runs and broke the stock diff again (either going ralliart from TRE or quaiffe (however you spell it) i ran:
11.2 at 128.5
then my buddy brian ran:
11.1 at 129mph but then came back around and tried to run again and the diff gave up the ghost (hopefully thats all it was ) i drove it home (limped ) and i am going to get it apart up at slickmotorsports soon and do something with the diff asap so i can just stop worring about destroying these

a quaife is definitely in need!! nice results though, i have been hoping you hit 10s since you started the original thread, looks like with the quaife, you can get better traction and hopefully dip into the 10s. your car is definitely a pump gas monster!!

For all the Quaiffe bandwagon jumpers just remember if you ever track the car and lift a wheel the Quaiffe will become just like a open diff. That's why KAAZ or clutch type diffs are much more popular in road racing. Shep uses a KAAZ and so does Magnus.

If your sure your only going to drag the Quaiffe is fine.

When have you ever seen a road racing car lift a front wheel? I think you have bigger things to worry about at that point.

In all seriousness, though, considering the plug and play of a Torsen diff and the constant fiddling you're always doing with a clutch type diff (swapping discs, changing fluid, etc), for anything short of a full race car with a big budget, the Quaife is the way to go, IMO
