Get back and stay on topic, kids. Personal crap can go to PMs.

Congrats on getting that launch the way you want it. There are many styles and some are more demanding of drivetrain parts than others.

I agree with if you can't pay, don't play. So don't try launching and abusing if you can't repair her ...

I wasn't bashing anyone, I'm confused as to what's going on since I haven't been here very long, can someone explain.

Just a quick Question: How do you know if your car has the 5000 limiter. do you need to be stationary with your foot on the brake or does the e brake need to be up? Sorry I'm a newbie!

No, the brakes have nothing to do with it. That wouldn't make any sense to rev up to launch with the brakes on. To see if you have the 5k limiter, keep the car stationary with the clutch depressed and try to rev past 5k. If it stops at 5k and bounces, then you have the 5k limiter.

Ok, thanks.

Didn't realise that the car has a launch control / limiter in it. pretty cool, happier every day that i bought this car!

I assume the moment you release the clutch the limiter goes back to 7500?

I got it on my second try.
You can have the gas pedal pinned the whole time... Instead of pinning it at the end, push that thing to the floor and let it engage WOT when it is designed to (Im assuming when the clutch gets released to a certain point; im assuming it it the same point when the rev. limiter disengages). Easier, and probably faster 60'. When i do that with my limiter i dont really even slip the clutch, it is a dump BUT NOT a side step. No clutch smell, and no bog... It's great!
