Yea his 1/8th mile is killer but something is definitely going on with the back half.

Bingo. I wish I could pick up 86 mph in the 1/8th but my '03 Evo wasn't the fastest from the factory, I had to work on it. I figure I'm doing everything right as far as launching and just straight regular shifting but I think consistent 12.9 is what I'll be seeing until I throw in cams.

where do i get one of them loggers? what is the name of it? how much does it cost around? question>>>would my tire psi have an affect on my mph? i didn't even touch my tire psi that night. so it was at the regular psi for them stock tires. (i hope i made sence)

tire pressure shouldn't effect trap speeds

Well, actually, higher tire pressure would induce tire spin, but provide higher mph. Much lower tire pressure would induce bogging (or a great hook) along with lower mph. With our power level, though, the variation in tire pressure that we'd use isn't really going to show a significant difference in mph. I've done 113mph at 30-33psi and 113mph at 24psi. I have no reason to go below or above those tire pressures, and I only lower mine, because a 6k launch burns all 4 all through 1st gear if my tires aren't sticky enough...

Its trapping so low from 4th gear timing pull. Its not that he is an incredible driver, no offense.

You can deduce from the slip that you start out real fast and your back half really sucks, hence the low mph. Just for reference I trapped 105.8 and 106.2 stock.

sorry guys i know i put that i have never been drag racing before. what i meant to say was it was my first in my evo with being awd and turbo. i have owned some civics and took them drag racing. but i have never gotin any of my civics in the 12's. i was just breathtaken when i took my evo down the strip for the first time and got a 12.8. and i did the the same style shifting and racing like i did in my civic. but the evo has hella power than them damn civics. damn i love the power of an evo.

Yeah, I explained that in detail above. Actually, I guessed that it may be from pulled timing, but we don't know without a log. That would take a HELLUVA LOT of pulled timing to cut him back 6mph. I've had some runs where I had weak timing in 4th, but still gained 19-20mph (as opposed to 22-24), but never 17...
