Well, decided to go back and this is what i got!

As you all know, last friday i ran, and i ran terrible times!! Here are last fridays times:

1st pass (1.4 bar boost in 4th)
r/t: -.111
60': 2.270
330: 6.072
1/8: 9.052
mph: 83.80
1000: 11.620
1/4: 13.78
mph: 104.87

2nd pass (1.5 bar boost in 4th)
r/t: 1.037
60': 2.415
330: 6.272
1/8: 9.261
mph: 83.37
1000: 11.854
1/4: 14.0
mph: 104.07

I decided to back last night and give it another shot and this is what i ran, weather was around low 70's maybe high 60's:

First pass(1.47 bar in 4th)
r/t: .906
60': 2.098
330: 5.716
1/8: 8.626
mph: 84.63
1000: 11.151
1/4: 13.273
mph: 106.59

Second pass(1.5 bar in 4th)
r/t: .916
60': 1.972
330: 5.552
1/8: 8.459
mph: 85.12
1000: 10.991
1/4: 13.115
mph: 106.87

Third pass(1.58-1.6 bar in 4th) Car pulled timing in 3rd and 4th gear!
r/t: .542
60': 1.873
330: 5.389
1/8: 8.317
mph:84.28
1000: 10.874
1/4: 13.030
mph:106.97

I still ran slow but i made a big improvement from last friday to last night, keep im mind that i was still bogging. All WITHOUT doing no lift shifting, pump gas and NO FLASH! I know this car can squeeze out 12's and 1-2 more miles!! The car would have seen 12's in the last pass if it hadnt pull timing in 3rd and 4th

Dude, a ton of people run better times then that stock. Not to burst your bubble but your doing something terribly wrong to be running those times with all those mods.

Im not tuned at all, the car is running pig rich. With a better 60'ft and a little quicker shifting i know this car has more left in it

And fyi, a lot of ppl are trapping the same as me or 1-2 more miles with a flash with more mods than me so yea....

12.9s are no big deal. You should be trying for low 12.2s and not get excited until then.

Why are you running such high boost anyway on pump gas and no tune? YOu were pulling timing because your boost is way too high. If you're hitting 1.6bar in 4th on the drag strip, that means you're at 23.5psi at 5500rpm and higher!!! This means your 3500rpm spike is probably 25-26psi. Why would you have your boost so high especially after all the freeze plug problems you've had in the past?

Well. i didnt turn up the boost, it got colder out and the boost went up, the first 2 passes were during the day and the last one at night so thats the cause. Theres no way i can run low 12's with my mods, i cant even get in the 12's

What was the difference? why aren't the runs consistent? Could it be the DRIVER???

Don't let people bust your chops. It takes practice to get the best ETs out of your car. I've always told people that the best money they could spend on improving their ETs was entrance fees to the track. Keep at it, and the ETs will drop accordingly.

Thats true. The more you get to the track the more you can practice. Which of course the ets should drop!

Give it a couple more shots, that 60ft still has some room for improvement. I was ready to completely give up on taking the car to the strip entirely after several successive trips netting nothing better then 2.0/1.9 60fts, but I finally figured it out and started nailing 1.6's. You'll figure it out eventually. Good luck!!

Why not give some tips on lauching so he can figure it out next time.

I know you are getting better EVIL EVO. I think I have seen you at the track once before but definitely with my NA Lancer pulling 2.4 60's then something is going wrong on the line.
What rpm are you launching at? Are you trying to slip the clutch at all?

My cousins in the caribbean with 2 stis were able to go from 13.2-13.4 with 2.2-2.4 60's to 12.7s with a 1.78X 60.

I knew they had it in them but they were afraid to break parts. I know that is an issue with the 4wd tranny but getting the right RPM for launch is a must. One of my cousins used to Launch at 8K rpm He has replaced his differential twice.

A little bit of knowledge can go a long way.

I forgot to say what I really came in here for and that is I have found at the speedway that I lose .5 secs in the 1/4 between the winter and summer months. I know the heat has a smaller effect on turbo cars but it is there nontheless.
