A co worker of mine said that he was going to get the new 06 hyundai tiburon and destroy my EVO ( on the track of course) He had mentioned that it comes stock with 326 HP and in his words " Put the tiburon in its right full place atop the racing world" I was about to knock some sence into him when he left. Has anybody heard of this yet? Oh he said he saw this blessing from God at a car show he went to this weeken.

 

search online for it....but i seriously doubt Hyungay would make any vehicle with those specs....

Hyundia....................OMG. Would never buy a Hyundia. My dad owns a mechanic shop and one of his customers said he owned a Honda Elantra. He just laughed at him.

 

He sounded pretty excited about the whole thing. He said he got to test drive it as well.

 

Doesn't exist, he doesn't know what he is talking about. I subscribe to Motor Trend, Road and Track, and Car and Driver (also Sport Compact Car, I know I love cars!) and no mention of it. Maybe a concept car or something, but a production 326HP Tiburon is not going on sell anytime soon, and there is no way he got to test drive one, unless he works for Hyundai and the team developing the car.

dont know about the 06, but my girl drives a 05 (brand new) with the v6 and 6sp tranny. I took it to the track when my evo was down for tranny work and ran back to back 17.1 at 91 mph . unless your the worlds worst evo driver i dont think this car is any threat at all. shoot, i got beat by a HONDA that night.

 

on hyundai's website they compare their car to a eclipse gt hell no it can't compare to our evos

I was once driving through an entrance gate to a military base and the security guard told me that the upcoming Mazdaspeed6 will put to shame all Evos and STis. I told him "Sure! its 400lbs. heavier, it has less power, taller gear ratios, softer suspension...but it would definetely leave any Evo in the dust".

06 tiburon se has about 172hp and 180lb/ft of torque mated with a 6spd v6...i knw i was lookin into gettin 1....

the 07 (not the 06, which is basically the same as the crappy 05 - 172hp top model) is reportedly going to be RWD and 3.3 or 3.6l v6, and I'm sure is trying to gun for the 350 or rx8 crowd. Tell your buddy to go ahead and get that car and come find you, you'll be waiting for him... Also tell him you'll be waiting for all the media which crowns the Hyundai (and the Tiburon in particular) as the top of the racing world

 

Ya I cant wait as he left tonight he made some comment about it again but I was to busy looking up parts for my EVO to care. He seems pretty set on this tiberon so I'll have to keep you all posted on what comes of this, it should be a good laugh.
