Where on Texas?, I took my Honda Civic SI to San Antonio and run .5sec faster with worse gas, more weight and less mods.

Yeah, you can run 115mph all day, but certainly not in AZ, that is why everyone here with the same power can't improve the ET/trap speed at all, I mean NONE.

It will be a coincidence that every single Evo in AZ with similar power they are all slow right?

Carwanson ran 12.0@114.5 on minimal mods on SAR putting only 275whp on a Mustang Dyno. People with same mods run here in AZ 13.0 to 13.5 on a Evo 8.

I don't think is the driving but the conditions. I give you a lot of credit for your runs 12.0@115 and a 1.66 is indeed a great launch braggin right.

I do .00 on my reaction times 50% of the times, I have been drag racing cars for well over 10 years, stealing my moms stick car since I was 13. I can assure I am not the bad driver, the conditions are perhaps unfavorable.

My .2c

Carlos

Naucrx,

Yes, you can trust Ray for the job, at least he does have all the tools and he even has a 700sqft garage custom made with a full 3500kilos full hydraulic bay attached to his garage.

You don't just go and spend a few several thousand dollars o a lifter just for the heck of it, obviously that is his hobby and he is getting good at it. He did my cams very well.

evotexas, don't you find it odd that not a single evo has ran 12.00s on pump gas in AZ?? there are only a handful running under 13.00!!!!! isn't it also odd that there are only 5 evos at the most that broke 11's???

Evotexas (Cody),

I read some of your old post and I found out that at one point you had:

660cc injectors
Custom tuning by TT and not just a flash
MBC(Hallman RX pro)
Megan racing hosuing
Small battery
Short shifter
AFC-II
Fuel pump

As you can see, all these things combined can make a significant difference however you don't mention them on this topic. You only mention TT Flash, cams,tb and cai.

Moreover I found very interesting that you ran 12.0@115 almost 2 years ago without most of the mods listed above and you recently could only run a 12.6@110 (I am aware that the track was cold).

I live in Texas also, in fact I live in north and south Texas but Nrth Texas gets cold as hell, often it snows.

I am not trying to discredit you at all, I think you are understimating everyone ability to run faster and you aren't telling us all the mods you have, that is equivalent of manipulating figures/statements.

Instead of me keep asking you, why don't you tell us where, how, what type of gas , what mods, what temperature and all the related information so that we can analize and make sense of your 12.0@115 on your 03 stock turbo with minimal mods.

An 03 Evo with stock turbo and your mods is indeed a joke for me, I had crushed just about every single 03-04 Evo on the streets with no mercy and I am not talking about now that I have alcohol, I am talking about I was doing 12.4-12.5 in Tucson with less mods than you while all the 03-04 Evos with similar mods were strugling to run high 12's
Particulary lets gave some facts with some real people with real evos, all of them with 03-04 just like yours.

Case number one: Steve 04 black Evo and his PDT tuned car, same mods as me(just before I put my alcohol) , I crused him from a roll

Case #2 : Evin on his 03-04 White Evo with same mods as me, from a roll 40-105 I pulled several cars on him even though I had a passenger

Case #3: Red 03 Evo with B&B 3"tb and CAI, dead even with my Bone stock MR

Case #4): Rays black 04 Evo, more mods plus 100oct plus NOS, same ET at the track as my car

Case #5) Abners(Slowcar) 03-04 Evo , he had way more stuff than me icluding aquamist, we were dead even from 35-140, I had at the time about 40whp less and 60lbs/tq less.

Case # 6) PJ's Evo, way more stuff than me, fully built engine, great driver but I have better 1/4 mile times

All these guys I see them almost every weekend, how come no one actually smokes me? is that a coincidence? are they all that bad of a drivers? No.

Just for reference, I improved .5sec just from going from Tucson SIR to San Antonio SAR and that was with the worst gas, more weight and less mods.
Thanks and let us know how your 1000rwd domestic project goes.

Thanks!

Carlos
