Ok, well I think you'll be in good shape. The stock airbox/filter are fine, so that's not holding you back, but a drop-in filter wouldn't hurt. The JDM MR DV will work perfectly for sure, and once you get the SAFC tuned, your car will be running very well.
As for the launches, you need to err more on the wheelspin side. If your tires spin when you let the clutch out quickly, then lower your tire pressure. I have to go as low as 22-24psi all around to launch at 6k like I prefer to do. If I keep the pressures above 30psi, I spin all 4 with my launch style.
