I agree that the trap speed seems way too high for just pump gas, but stranger things have happened...

Just because you have not done this does not mean it is impossible. Al from Dyno Flash himslef linked this thread from the "OTHER" site so I doubt Al would lie. I also have seen stock turbo'd pump gas Evo's yank 117MPH traps so it is not impossible, just top teir. You yourself ALWAYS state that Dyno numbers mean poop and to run at the track, and now you say that the track is wrong.

Ever think that maybe YOU were wrong?

if the almighty warrtalon can't do it, its impossible. Always preaching ETs show horse power, but what if i dyno at 500awhp, and run a 13.0 @ 101. Maybe i'm a HORRIBLE driver, so i think ET doesn't equate to HP for the pure fact that there is the biggest margin for error, the driver.

ANYWAYS, back on topic, kick *** run and keep up the good work! go run at 11 w/ the same mods and then we can have another thread w/ haters doubting

DRIFTO's timeslip is 88.88 with a trap of 117.23 which is a mph gain of 28.3. Everyone seems to be doubting that yet I did the same thing. That seems doubtable on pump gas and 21psi, but I did it yesterday with 22psi and 93oct too.

One of my two runs yesterday I went 87.07 in the 1/8 and 115.1 in the 1/4... thats a gain of 28.03... pretty 0.3mph difference to this guy...

Another note, Superhatch ran 11.9@116 on his pump gas TUNE. He had 100oct in the tank and was running 12.1-12.3s on his 100oct map, switched to his 93 map and ran the 11 second run. Why? I dont know, but his car is very fast and he drives like a madman.

Didn't you trap at 115 With your Mods? I would immagine that would be around 350WHP. Only a Guess though, I just thought that your dyno runs would be like his, 117MPH.

I went 116. Also, to be fair, it was 70 degrees that day. Another 2 runs I went 115, one of them gaining the 28mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 which everyone was giving flak to this guy about...

Also, Ive only been down the track 4 times.... I plan to go more but its getting hot here in NJ. I wish I went when it was 40s out as my car feels noticeably faster in that cold weather.

I miss the cold as well . Thanks for the support man. I have not been dynoed in over a year so I have no idea what it is putting down now. Lots of mods since last dyno though.

This just dont add up , 2 week ago i ran my fastest mph (118.4) gaining ONLY 24.4 mph in the back 1/2
This was with pretty much every mod u have but i have a ported mani vs your DC mani AND iam running +30psi peaks ,-4/-1.5 gears(to help topend) , straight 110 octane , (-) fuel via afc , BR "race chip" and my side mirrors were even folded in dangit .
So its hard for me to understand b/c i never gained that much mph even know my 1/4mph is faster than your's and drifto's ........
But you two are doing a good job of making my #'s look alot less impressive , thanks

LOL your traps are very impressive! I assume you have no dynos on pump or race?

I thought about this gaining mph between the 1/8 and 1/4 and while it does determine your top end somewhat it also depends on how you did before the 1/8th. My 1/8th mph when I did the 28mph gain to the 1/4 was only 87mph. Now, why did I run 87mph in the 1/8th with a 2.2 and run 90mph in the 1/8 on my next run with a 2.3 60' .1 diff in 60' yet 3mph in the 1/8th? I always shift at 7300 and my shifting speed is very consistent.

I dont really understand it, but I know my car has very good acceleration. I dont like to bring it my "nightly" races but thats what I mostly do and 90% of them are roll-ons. My friends C5 Z06 with I/E cannot hang with me from a 3rd gear roll on yet he runs 117mph traps... also, a friends car who runs 115mph traps I can WALK away from from a roll-on.. hes fwd! I dont get it.

Those plugs will run fine for about 30 days and then you'll get missfire codes - well thats what happened to me
  1. Had BR7ES in there - ran smooth
  2. Put BPR8ES in - car actually felt more powerful but started getting missfire codes after a month
  3. Changed to the cheap version of irridium NGKs - BPR7IEX or something - and codes immediately disappear. I do however think the boost decreased about 0.5 psi though

For reference, Im running BR8ES with a .026-27 gap. These have been in for 4000 miles no misfires or codes.
