The track was not out of whack, and the pieces of the puzzle do add up. They are just smaller, more numerous pieces, so you have to look more closely if you want to see what makes the puzzle work. There is no single, large magic bullet. Just several optimized parts and settings that mesh together very well. It's been done before, so it's not so unbelievable.

YMMV, and if it does, it's probably worth your while to take a look at the variances and determine what it is that you need to get to that point. It may boil down to a few relatively simple things.

I'll post my results when I get home, which will be within an hour.

SuperHatch ran a 11.9@116 on pump. Drifto's times seem reasonable to me.

I saw one slip that was 90, but I don't know if that was his best or worst. ET was 7.8ish

I knew there was someone else on here that ran great on pump. Thanks.

I am skeptical as well. The numbers just don't add up.

hmmm maybe thats where iam getting lost , iam use to seeing 92-93 mph in the 1/8 to get 117ish 1/4mph .
I dont think its the launch either , b/c sunday i was blowing the launch and i trapped 93.5 in the 1/8 and 118.3 1/4 .
So maybe the timing devices are just a little different from one track to another

What were your 60' times? We both had traction problems at this track. I get a better launch on the street. Our slips indicate we both had lazy starts, but things got rolling hard once we got the rubber to the road.

Both of our cars will deliver 11 sec ETs with better traction, just as you list a 11.7 at the same trap speed. There are cars running 11.8-11.9s with 20whp less than mine on the same dyno - but with good traction and quick 60' times.

Red face

Hey not EVERY evo on the f-in planet posts their results on this cool little site.......there are plenty of quiet modifiers lurkin the streets and the sites.....so to say there is "no one else" running like this with these mods is ignorant....even if you know every post on this site by heart. Its nice for some people to play devils advocate, no offense, even enlightening..... but up to a certain point.

My point: nice results drifto

As the timers being off I agree, however, I've run this track 4 times now and one of those was on the 5th of March. I pay attention to the speedo as I pass through the traps and it typically reads 113-114ish which corresponds to my 113 traps. Yesterday I watched and the speedo touched 120 so I feel it is correct.

Your right Carlos, I forgot to mention the JDM MR diverter
Drifto,

The last thing that I had in my mind is to have another Evo member upset over some track times, sorry if I upset you.

I really don't get jelaous over someone runing faster than me, I am just astonished to see your trap speeds, they are very strong and unusual.

We don't have to argued about it, if you ran 117MPH then that is what you ran, I wouldn't even question you specially when you had such great tuning by Al, I am sure you are happy about your achievements.

Anyway, please don't take it hardcore with me, I support everyone that runs at the track and prove something, I also hate the BS .

Take care

Carlos

Of my three passes today, the first two were 12.3's in the mid 116 range and the last was the best. 60's were 1.9, 2.0 and a best ever of 1.80 wich is still pathetic for an AWD. 1/8 mile best was a 7.8 @ 89. There was another Evo there with an upgraded stock turbo and meth @ 25psi. His best was a 12.0 @ 117 so that puts into perspective how well the car is running on good ole 93.
What size jet are you using for your methanol injection? Looks like you are near or at MBT! Also whats your elevation? Congrats on the run!
