12.1 @ 117.23 21psi and 93 ONLY

Car is haulin *** for a stock turbo on pump gas. I made some tiny changes from 3wks ago and picked up 4mph. My poor stock clutch slipped on every launch. 2nd pass I had to get completely out of it and then nail it again.
Of my three passes today, the first two were 12.3's in the mid 116 range and the last was the best. 60's were 1.9, 2.0 and a best ever of 1.80 wich is still pathetic for an AWD. 1/8 mile best was a 7.8 @ 89. There was another Evo there with an upgraded stock turbo and meth @ 25psi. His best was a 12.0 @ 117 so that puts into perspective how well the car is running on good ole 93.

I just ran a 13.1 @ 117mph. 2.4 60ft. It seems to me its harder to launch with a big turbo then a stock one. I launched and got a 12.5 @ 114mph. I thought it would be better, heard the turbo spool and all.

I would love to know the "tiny changes" you did to gain 40hp.

I got rid of the stock inlet tube and swapped it for a Samco unit, changed the stock plugs to BPR8es gapped at .028, and pulled .5% of fuel from 4k-7.7k on my DTEC. AFR's were 11.5ish. Boost would spike to 21.5 and settle to 21 until I shifted around 7.4k. Ted B was there and witnessed it. I'm still in disbelief.

Mods are
MPFab turbo manifold
MPFab intercooler w/ upper and lower piping
MPFab intake heat shield w/ intergral headlight duct
E bay o2 housing
Turbo XS DTEC fuel/boost controller
Turbo XS downpipe
Turbo XS intake adapter w/ KNN filter
MPFab cat delete muffler
GReddy Ti cat-back
Dynoflash custom tune (almost a year ago with less mods)
GSC 272i/264e cams (series one)
Walbro 255

I think that's it.

Yeah, no one gains that much on the top-end with pump gas on the stock turbo.

I love it. I knew War would discount this. I have NO nitrous on the car. Ted B was there and saw my set up. Ask him if you want. The last time I went to the track I ran 86-87 in the 1/8 and 113.7, wich was mar 5,so the gain of 2-3mph in the 1/8th makes sense to me that the mph would go up as well. It only gained 28.12mph

There's no reason to have gained that much mph with those small changes, and there's no way to go that fast on 21psi with the stock turbo. The timers could have been off. I have proof of trap speeds being wrong in my sig if you look at my timeslips. The timer said I hit 115.7mph (stock cams), but I really only hit 113.7 - things happen.

Drifto,

I ran better 1/8 times than you in the past, I am just surprised to see how you can pick up such great trap speeds in the second 1/8 part.

Just comparing to your run:
I ran 1.7
5.0 sec 330'
90mph at 7.7sec 1/8 mile

Trapping 117 mph only shows me that you have more mods that you claim.,

Carlos

I watched you post alot and often you are very accusatory towards others so I'm not that suprised by your post. I'm a very honest person and I hate bullsh** as much as anyone else. I can understand the skeptisism because it is very atypical result. Maybe you guys are faster through the 1/8th because you speedshift or because you 60' were better.
As the timers being off I agree, however, I've run this track 4 times now and one of those was on the 5th of March. I pay attention to the speedo as I pass through the traps and it typically reads 113-114ish which corresponds to my 113 traps. Yesterday I watched and the speedo touched 120 so I feel it is correct.

Your right Carlos, I forgot to mention the JDM MR diverter
