MOST-WANTED'S UPDATE! 11.50's

Well, just came back from Moroso tonight and made a few changes to the car. The car is just unbelievably fast. I am starting to have a major traction issue, but any faster and I'll get booted anyways for no rollcage. The runs were 11.61, 11.56, 11.60, 11.66, 11.56, & 11.59 Two best 60's were 1.595 and 1.600 and the two best 1/8 mph was 93.18 and 92.90. I should have some video's up tomorrow sometime.

60' 1.631
330 4.752
1/8 7.391
mph 92.90
1000 9.648
1/4 11.563
mph 117.35

60' 1.595
330 4.721
1/8 7.375
mph 91.78
1000 9.647
1/4 11.568
mph 117.12

*******. Well, at least we're finally seeing the proper traps for those times...not that anyone else hits 11.5s at 117, but those 114s just weren't right.

Tracdtion problems with 1.59-1.60 60's? Haha, traction problems for me mean 1.78-1.81 60s...

He probably got the tip from TTP engineering.... and TTP engineering isnt spilling the beans either....but what the heck ....his trap speed is indicator of his AWHP anyway...

One thing I did as ridiculous as it sounds is put the front portion of the stock airbox back in place to route some cooler air to the filter. I also ran more 93 vs 110 than I normally do. Once the 110 started to mix in I started to lose my mph. So, i went back to the pumps and added 1 gallon of 93 and the mph came right back. Thats all I'm saying for now

I did forget to mention I switched the 1G BOV for the Forge. The Forge is garbage to drive daily in my opinion. The flutter is ridiculous around town. I made a few other changes and am not sure exactly what the contributing factor is, but I am not complaining at all.

Well lets play the hint game then. Does it have to do with ignition?

tom,

I think it has to do with ignition and timing and type of fuel used.

his sig indicates that he has a flash.....

A flash only has like two maps, a regular safe map and a map for WOT runs whether on straight race gas or pump gas.

If he tuned on pure 110 on the day he got his flash, then he'll make the most out of his 110 octane. If he tuned with 93..... then only adding 110 is gonna hurt.....

if he tuned mixed with 93 and 110, then he'll have to mix the gas in proper quantities and octanes to get the best performance out of it.

The forge probably holds boost better than the crushed 1 G BOV.... the more boost he holds the more power he'll make.

Soon2BEVO-NOPE

No bs, it has nothing to do with money. I tested different tire pressures, amounts of race gas vs 93, BOV change(which in the past has made the car slower, tonight it went well, so no telling if it helped or hurt), and replacing the stock airbox vent. Thats it, no miracles. My 280 cam is sitting on my kitchen table which is another sore subject for me right now. I'll post the vids tomorrow. The trophy girl is waiting in my bedroom butt azz naked

I think ignition timing plays a role here in his flash ... but I'm curious if he's using an HKS DLI-II or equivalent and different spark-plugs, gaps and ignition wires......
