With 24psi on a 8 you may be pulling timing. I would suggest putting in some race gas next time and leave everything the same to see if thats the case.
See, and thats what I was expecting, maybe a little better. I don't know about the timing, I know I keep saying it, but if I had a laptop I would have loged it and checked.

Good luck hitting you goal too.

I think the tune is right, Jestr has been doing this a long time and I don't think he would do something that wasn't safe.

I need to turn my MBC up about 1/2 a turn from how I drive on the street otherwise I'll only be @ 20psi while blasting down the track. It has to do with how the car is loaded when doing a 3rd gear pull from 2k-7k rpm on the street vs. shifting 1st-4th @ 5-7k RPM.
I understand that, but all I can tell you is from what John said. Im not basing my boost read out on my guage because I know its off. But I am also running the GM boost controller through the EMS.

i wasn't saying there was anything wrong with your tune. I just said I run 24psi on pump gas and have no problems. I'm sure if your tuner set your car up properly there is no problems.

My friend has a custom tune from TT on his car. On 91 octain with 100% humidity and well over 95* heat he trapped 109 MPH at 24psi with pumpgas... its all in the tune.

then you need to get a laptop and log your boost. you can't trust what your boost gauge is telling you, espically during a drag pass when your paying attention to some many other things. I willing to bet your not hitting that same peak 24psi at the track that you do on the street.

I know you weren't, I didn't mean for it to come off as defensive. Just talking.

I would have had a laptop, but it was a friends parents that I was going to borrow. They didn't feel "comfortable" letting me take it to the track.

I know my clutch isn't making my car slow. And I understand what everyone is saying about the 24lbs, Im going to talk to John, but I completely trust him.

I just hope that when I get the launch down, and the traction better, that my et will be what I had expected.
No problem. Just hope you get everythign figured out. Good luck to you.
