trap speed question

I'm curious what the below average, average, and above average trap speed is for a basic bolt on EVO8 or 9 with stock turbo on pump gas. By basic bolt-ons I mean everything including cams but not including alky, just looking for straight pump gas numbers here, no race gas.

Please list as many power mods as possible, weight reduction done if any, and your 1/8th & 1/4 MPH. Dyno numbers are ok to list but just as a reference in comparison to your trap speed. I'll start off...

Car weight: 3500 w/driver
Weight reduction: spare tire, front rebar removed,
Power Mods: 10.5^cm hotside, ebay o2, 3" tbe w/test pipe, mbc spiking to 23-24psi dropping down to 20.5 @ redline, cone filter, ebay IC, JDM MR BOV, self tuned.
Dyno: 320whp/316wtq @ 23psi

Traps @ above boost level
1/8th: 85-86mph
1/4: 110

IXs average traps on pump with boltons are 110-112mph.. I trapped 110 in the 1/4 and 89.58 in the 1/8 on pump with catless tbe, mbc 21 psi, o2 housing, megan manifold, and reflash.Everything else is stock!

thats a NICE 1/8th mile trap.

I see your sig says @ 22psi you trapped 110.01 but you list 21psi in your post.

Also was that a one time thing, the fact that you trapped 110.01 or is that more of an average?

it was around 21-22 psi.. Well i dont know what the average is for my mods but ppl tell me i have a strong car, maybe Clay can answer this question for you.. I kept up with a super charged s2k that trapped 112 in the 1/4 from 2nd gear and 3rd gear roll..Funny thing is that when i posted my times the 1st time for these runs, ppl thought i had a IX

18k on it. I ran it with full interior, over a 1/2 tank of gas (100% 93oct.), the spare/jack/tools, the car is mechanically stock minus the following mods;

3" TBE
Forge UNOS MBC @ 21.5psi>18.5psi taper
AMS LICP
FORGE BOV

It was about 70 degrees out, 50-60% humidity. I only got to make 3 runs and since I'm on the stock clutch I started easy in the first 2 runs to get a feel for it (I dont launch it often). I gave it hell on the third pass and was satisfied for the night so I left, with no broken parts

The car made 265whp in this tune.

Anyways;

60'-1.786
330'-5.199
1/8-8.072
MPH-85.71
1000-10.582
1/4-12.710
MPH-106.18

The day that i trapped 110. i ran 12.5 5x in a row at 109 and in the last pass i trapped 110 so it was pretty consistant.. Before i was tuned with the same mods, i was trapping around 85 in the 1/8th and 106.87 in the 1/4..It was about 72-75 degrees out

damn 5- 12.5's in a row, very consistant and so close to 12.4; just a touch more boost & a little cooler weather and your there.

04 SSL (stock weight - whatever it is - it's the heaviest)
10.5, cams, custom dynoflash, 93 oct, boost spike to 23psi, stock catback
1/8
88.7 mph
8.0 ET
Shifted to 4th, 245/45/17 tires

I would estimate WHP at this time on mustang would be like 260

thats a great MPH for stock cat-back. Are you running a stock DP or is that aftermarket?

To ease your mind, catback was overhauld a little:

3"DP, cat delete, stock catback (tapered flange where 2.6" mates to 3" to smooth flow, and removed the internal flapper valve in muffler), nonetheless stock catback is still employed- just rigged.

After I overhauled the catback I just kept it that way - sounds buitiful. Now I'm running W/M at 25psi with no pinging using same gutted exhaust duct.
