trap speed question

Thanks Ang Wen Yan, but is that engine hp? I always figure a little lower ranging from 360-380 depending on temp, octane, whatnot. I dynoed at 318 on a DJ. I figure now I have about 320-330 whp.

If you take 380 ehp x .16 (dt loss) = 319 whp

What about me? I ran 12.5@110 and trapped 89.58 in the 8th

All of this is WHP!!This is caculate using trap speed/ET,weight.At most of the case,trap will be higher than ET since not everyone is Curt Brown.Here is the caculator:http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm .They also post up the formula.

The best dyno machine is drag strip.Dyno is just a tool and give you a number to bragging about.

I just trapped 111 last night, highest trap to date with this car. It was at only 22psi peak because for some reason the MBC I used wouldn't go above that... it was on race gas though so it doens't count

bump for more ppl to chime in...esp. interested in the IX's...want to know what's the smallest amount of mods i need to trap 110+ consistently on 91 OCTANE

what do most IX's trap with just a full exhaust and a tune? with 330whp i'd say around 110 ish?

On my 05 I had
3" TBE w/ no cat
LICP
MBC (22psi)
Cone Filter
BOV
93oct

1/4 12/5 @110.58
1/8 8.050 @ 86.55

My avg mph was 109ish so on a IX all you really need is an exhaust and MBC probably

SpyderBite, was that AMS IC on your car when you ran last? Your times are exactly link mine, which makes sense because we have almost identical mods.
