First time at the track

I got an evo IX MR and went to the track and my best time was a 13.296. Is that good? and is the car capable of getting into the 12's. The evo is stock with no modifications what so ever.

wow for a such a crappy 60' your 1/8 was very strong for a stock evo. If you had gotten a good 60' like a 1.7 you probably would've been in the 12's.

I think he let off the gas early or the timers are messed up, because there's no way he hit a 13.2 with only 102mph on an awful 2.0 60'. Nevertheless, that is decent for a stock IX, and yes, IXs are capable of 12s stock, but only if you really are trapping 104-105. I don't think that 102 is right...

nice run for a stock EVO and that 60ft! I hope that the sensors for the 60 were a little off because if not you may have a 12 second stock evo! That is sweet! you should go back to the track next week to see if the sensors were off or if your car is just a straight up freak!

warrtalon i went 13.201 in a stock evo8 @ 101. with a 1.91 60' and some mad power shifting. Previous owner of my car went 12.8 w/ a 1.6 60'. Only mods to the car were suspension.

Only if something is wrong with the run, some timing pull up top causing an artificially low mph, or a timing error. You just simply can't get those ETs with those MPHs on such high 60's. I'm a good driver and have been around the block plenty, so don't give me the "mad powershifting" stuff. I do the same thing and get excellent ETs for my traps, but there is limit to such things.

For instance, I hit a 12.7@103 with a 1.75 60'. Excellent driving? No, it was because I burned the clutch on the launch, and it kept slipping all the way through 5th gear due to how hard I was shifting. Also, I hit a 12.30@107.99. Excellent driving? Good driving, but I was really trapping 109.5 on all my other runs and somehow got a low 107.99 on the run where I got the best launch and best shifting, so it's misleading.
