It's not BS. NO one said gears 1-3 were weak - they are quite strong, in fact. Gears 4-6 are tiny and weak. If you think it's bs, feel free to discuss it with TRE or Shep. Drag racing doesn't heat things up anywhere near as much as sustained road racing, so drag failures with the 6spd are not common. I went 250 passes without breaking mine, then it broke while accelerating in 4th on the road course - no shock or anything.

 

I'm curious who has the fastest 6 speed time with the stock 05 turbo, race gas or whatever. i'm thinking clay but has anyone else broken 11's on the 6speed/stock turbo (05)?

 

Scott (TTP) still has the stock 05 turbo supposedly, which would mean he met your criteria back before he broke the 6spd. I think he got down to 11.6 or 11.7 before he put in the 5spd, so he went much faster than I did.

 

maybe i should rephrase that to mean without nitrous lol

 

Heh, well, he hasn't admitted to any nitrous or nitromethane use, so there's no way to know when (or if) he started using it. It is true that he was stuck in the low 12s with me then suddenly started gaining power every time he went to the track despite not adding mods, so it was very iffy...

It's been over a year since my last drag race.
I've been too busy autocrossing.

Just installed the Buschur 20G LT last month and tried a couple
autox's with it with mixed results.

I'm heading to Moroso on Wednesday for a couple passes, just to see what
this LT can do!

Then I'll switch back to my stock turbo for autox.

So this nearly new 20G LT will be FS.
