Here is some refrence info.

60' 1.811
330 5.356
1/8 8.293
MPH 83.69
1000 10.850
1/4 12.998
MPH 104.56

Best of four passes on a 100% stock weight and stock engine right down to the OE paper filter no mods. Evo IX RS with a 9sec9 tune w/OEM boost level, Buschur Shifter Bushings, and hard as rock all season radials. Low 50 air temp.

The slowest pass was 13.384 @ 101.87 the first pass on the car ever. Seat time is the best mod, we figured it would go .80's with a better launch and shifts a little lower in RPM.

Was the MR owner from the Twin cities, MN or around there?

Looks nearly exactly the same as my all stock '05.
First time ever on a strip and my first manual trans. car, and was done at the Buschur 4 Banger shoot-out.

60' 1.898
330' 5.395
1/8 8.311 @ 82.63mph
1000' 10.831
1/4 12.952 @ 106.32mph

I backed 12's up twice more with a 12.96 and a 12.99 (in which I missed 4th gear!) the rest were around 13.1's

Good time, but you better reread you posts from May. K&N drop in, Exedy twin disk, didn't know if you had a flash or boost pill mod and no seats. Thats not stock, but great times for what you have.

Ok sorry.. K&N drop-in, and a Exedy Stg. 2 cerametallic (I wish it was a twin disc!) To my knowledge the car is completely stock other than that. I bought the car used with 50k on it, and the Salesman was the previous owner (still had his documentation in the car.. all service receipts from Mitsu. dealer) and said it was completely stock other than the drop-in and at that time was still on the stock OEM clutch.

Hopefully for christmas I get all the stuff I asked for.. boost gauge, wide band 02, etc.. to actually see what the car is doing. I really hope it checks out as all stock in the ROM.. or else I'll be pretty disappointed with that time then.

Still respectable time for what you have . Work on that 60 ft there are a lot 8's with more mods than you that can't run that number. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Thanks man, I was hoping to pull a 1.7 60'... and that would've dipped me into the 12.8's or maybe 7's.. going by the rule of thumb for every tenth you cut off your 60' it cuts 2 tenths off your ET. Oh well, I'll be shooting for lower 12's next year.
Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year!

i did 12.82 @ 107.41mph in my EVO IX MR with a ****ty 1.86 60'. it was bone stock other than an HKS carbon ti catback, no tune, no nothing else. with a good launch, i should have been able to hit 12.6-12.7 range. so yeah, EVO IX's can hit 12's all day long. 13.2 shouldn't be a problem at all in a stock IX.

i dont know how this is possible but i saw the slip with my own eyes of my friends stock mr in fl did a 1.4 0-60, 7.7 and 12.7 in the 1/4 at 102. Is it possible to have such a low 60 foot and 1/8 yet have 1/4 much higher than what those times would normally correspond?

1.4 60' is a monster power 60', a 7.7 at the 1/8th, but only a 12.7 trapping at 102?? on a supposed stock MR?? Don't really see how that can happen unless he really missed 4th gear and took a bit to find it, because if that would've been a full clean pass that's at least a 12.2 pass.. Not going to happen on a stock evo.
Unless the car was fully gutted, and I mean fully
