My setup includes an ACT HDSS, Nitto NT555R's 22psi in the front 24psi in the rear, 6,400rpm launch with consistant 1.65 1.64 60ft's. I was getting 1.65-1.67 60ft's with Bridgestone Potenzas as well. Im still on the stock suspension.
Does anyone know if Tein springs will help my launch or hurt it?

Im going to try to go to the 1/8 mile track today with 20psi in the tires and a 6800 2-step. Ill let you know how i do..

THanks for the info..
Good luck tonight, post up when you get a chance.

Alright...
I did OK at the track. I didn't get my 60's down in the 1.59-1.69 like i wanted but i did run my fastest time with the setup Most-Wanted told me. It was really hot today. My first run was at about 5:30 P.M. and it was 90 degrees+...
My fastest time to date was 7.59 with a 1.7xx 60'..
My first run of the night was 7.611 with a 1.902 60'.
right away i new i could improve. i noticed right away with the 2-step that high the car stays in the power band and doesn't come close to falling out of it... I think that is why i ran my fastest time...

The sensors at the track were all messed up so my first 3 times up didn't show et and mph but it did show 60's. I ended up with 3 1.8xx's and 3 1.7xx 60's with the best run of the night being

60' 1.743
330 4.880
1/8 7.425
mph didn't show up

my mph are around 93-95 on average, with a high of 96.11

When i launch the car it just rips the tires but I think with enough seat time i can learn to slip the clutch the right amount to get it to hook.

Few questions to Most-Wanted..
Do you use your e-brake to pre load?
when you get on the 2-step do you floor the gas pedal or do you have it down about 80%, just enough to get on the 2-step?
once you launch, do you feather the gas at all or is the pedal to the floor?
This is how i launch. I stage first, once the other car is staged i get on the 2step(floor the gas pedal), lift up the ebrake, and bring the clutch out just enough to pre load the drive train. on the last yellow i drop the ebrake while doing a quick slip of the clutch. Gas pedal is to the floor.
Thank you for your advise!!!

In case you are wondering, here are my mods.
AMS 35r kit (non HTA)
Pwr Intercooler
Custom upper and lower piping
ACT 2900 with 6 puck & 10.5 flywheel
Custom cat back with electric cut out
MR BBS wheel with rt-615 255/40/17 20-21psi
Hallman MBC
motor mount
k-sport coilovers set to softest setting all around
NO CAMS/NO VALVE SPRINGS/ NO HEAD STUDS (yes i know i need cams, coming asap)
c16 gas on 29-30psi
That should be about it...

I used to get wheel hop but when i added a motor mount and k-spsort coil overs it got rid of that. every once in a while i get a little wheel hop but if i stay in it, it stops and just hooks..

I had the falkens in 255/40-17 on ssr c-rs wheels, hated them, car would never hook, lowered the 2 step to 4500 and it would still spin. I purhased them from a vendor off ebay and I suspect they were old and dried out, friend had some in his WRX from Discoiunt tire and pushing on them with your nail his were much softer. Anyway, never got better than a 1.85 with the Falkens, riding Toyo R1R in same sizes and man does she hook, very consistant 1.75, but I can come down on that, last trip to the strip was about consistancy and I ran 5 back to back 1.75, with two step set at 5500. Ill raise it next time out and try to drop the 60'.

I haven't tried the higher rpm since putting my suspension on... so maybe...

I have the sides and front powerflex mounts in the car already, and a rear mount waiting to go in, I'll be trying for some better 60's soon!

Last year making 400/400 fairly new 615's at 35psi(daily driver status). 2 step at about 6500 launching around 6lbs of boost i was cutting 1.68-1.71's pretty much all the time

this last weekend at a local 150 foot drag i was launching right with rwd cars that do 1.50-1.60's and im making more power this year but my tires are lower on tread life
