Went to the track

Well i went last night and ran 12.42@110mph with a 1.67 60 foot. Now the week before i went a 12.46@110 with a 1.76 60 foot. Does it seem my e.t. is high for my mph. Now when i ran my mustang a few years ago i went 11.7@112 with a 1.6 60 foot or is this the difference between a 4 cyl turbo to a supercharged v8.

11.7 @ 112 is not normal and is not even really possibly on a 1.6 60' unless you had an automatic. It's more likely that your mph was around 115-116 but only 112 on that particular run...again, unless it was automatic.

12.46 @ 110 on a 1.76 is good. 12.42 @ 110 on a 1.67 is not that good - shows slow shifting. My comparison is that with stg1 mods and 93oct on a base Dynoflash (not custom), I ran 12.26 @ 110.0 with a 1.66 60'.

my mustang was a 5-speed 302 with a vortech s-trim. After we messed around with it a little we got it down to 10.86@126 w/ 1.49 60ft

I guess practice makes perfect. This was only the 4th time taking it to the track. Its alot different from the mustang to the evo

Yes, but even that is nowhere close to an 11.7 @ 112 on a 1.6 60'. Think of that 10.8 as an 11.8 @ 116. The 11.7 @ 112 was an anomaly that probably has an explanation but not without more data. It's not worth using as a reference in this case.

ok i see what you are saying maybe the mustang was making all the e.t. in the 1/8 and not the mph up top do to the tune wasn't right because that was right after the s-trim on and doing some test passes

tq and weight may be a major factor as well.

What tire were you running?

How much did the mustang weigh?

Ever dyno it? What did the tq graph look like?

What gears were you running? 4.10,3.55,3.73,3.08?

I hope freddy302 can chime in with some of his mustang #'s, they'll knock your socks off!!!

Tire was 26x10.5 MT ET Drag

Weight was around 2,900

Never on a dyno. Guessing somewhere around 500hp

Gears were 3.73
