I had the clutch held in, and the guy took FOREVER to stage the second light. Someone had to come up and tell him to move forward to move. At this point my foot is killing me for holding in the twin disk clutch for this long. As soon as I go to put it in neutral for a second, the guy stages the second light so I'm not ready and the lights start rolling and I bog my launch.

I hate when you try to be nice and it bits you after waiting in the staging lane forever. But it payed off on the pass ! ! ! Nice Run

It must stink to go to the strip and have to wait hours for the run. Back when I went to the strip I would arrive before the gates open and be one of the first to tech and get in line. That way I could make a couple before the crowds really show up.

And that camaro driver, that is usually a technique people due to mess you up. I dont know if you were on the rev limiter and he waited for you to drop your revs and then stage the 2nd light.

I wasn't 2 stepping. Last time I 2 stepped before the other guy staged the second light I think I built to much boost off the line and got really sideways and my car went straight towards the wall. lol

I was just blipping my revs, I start the 2 step right as the first light starts to drop. Thats exactly what I did last time I was at the track and got a really good launch. Unfortunately I red lighted and didn't get a slip. :/ Oh well you live and learn.

your gonna need tires if you plan on cuttin a 1.6 60' homie. And take those subs out. U may get down to 11.1 11.0 if you get a good launch and get good shifts and a good run. car is def capable of 10s but you prob need to get rid of some weight.

I should be low 11's next time i hit the track when i get my cams i should be good for 10.99999 hopefully. But that will be with a perfect run to. i see you said the last time u got a good launch you red lighted and they didnt give you a slip???

They should of given you a slip no matter what you would of just had a negative reaction time. What track Did u run at? Need to make your way up to cecil.

I cut 1.62's and 1.63's all day on my 18" T1R's. . . . Just saying it can be done on reg street tires.

As for cutting the short time and improving ET. Pretty much .1 on 60' time gets you .2-.3 on the ET. So a 1.9 to a 1.6 the .3 better, you should see a drop of .6-.9 of a second!!!!!

I have pretty much proven this with my car. Gained 1 mph trap speed from alky and tuning but got almost .4 off ET. I dropped .1 on 60'. The car would have made more power on the top end, but I was sally about timing and that injection set up. The temps difference was a lot too. That killed some HP on alky compared to pump and it being 60 degrees.

So you def got some 10's in it. Get that launch right and but it out.

Also when you go to the track in a turbo car, YOU ALWAYS COME IN THE SECOND BEAMS aka STAGE LAST! Let the other guy trip the stage light then roll in and set it on the limiter.
