Technically as per the NHRA handbook for 09 and in previous years you can run a 5 point for the first class you mentioned above up to 135mph.

Chris i'm guessing that the tubing is not chromoly so it will be alittle beafier than others made of 4130 correct me if i'm wrong.

Honestly since the cage has to go back to the chassis shop for revisions i know some people here might have suggested to just have them do the entire thing from scratch to insure proper specs are followed.

We're fabbing our own and by all means are not a chassis fab shop but i've been pestering enough people here and on other forums to make sure the right specs are followed through with.

Keep up the good work CMI is just around the corner

Hey wasup Pat are you guy's going to run at TnT this weekend? Yea the car is going to the chassis shop for some reccomendations I heard that they specialize in drag cages so we'll see what is to come out of it.

I might have a little surprise for CMI but'll we will have to wait and see

Boy do i wish i could but i'm leaving for Hawaii on sat for a few days (quick get away trip)

I'm also still in the middle of putting in the 5 point bar.....got the main hoop bent up but we are super busy at the shop w/ customer's cars so mine gets put on the back burner

I hope to be back out to infineon soon as well once the bar is done if need be i'll run it on low boost and e85 since my 1200's are the limiting factor now

I like surprises

Heres an idea sw race cars has roll bar/roll cage for evos(i think it says lancer call and find out)ive used their kits in past(other vehc).its not a bolt on affair it is impossible to for it to pass tech and be bolt on.4130 chromoly is $500.ive charged that much to install one.http://www.swracecars.com/store/view...rch=mitsubishi

Well I hope you know you will need all of that stuff to run in the AWD heads up class at CMI? Other wise you end up running in the bracket dial in class.
