Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification! Thankfully they wouldn't be deflated as much as a slick would be.

But when they grow they do not stay at that same width. They get skinny when they grow.

Isn't growth more associated with a slick? I didn't think there was much growth with a DR.

Ya, I would agree with you. I would think growth would be very minimal with these tires. I would also asssume that if they were under inflated that you shouldn't get too much side wall bulge aswell.

Tires are in! 9sec9 and I are picking them up in the morning and testing them over the next few days. We are going out tonight to baseline the car with the BFG's and tune. More info tomorrow night on how they perform.

Just want to make sure which one I should get coz the other guy with QTP 26' and Rx-7 rims is cutting low 1.5 easily and he even said 1.4 wont be difficult.
I think the QTP has more (softer)sidewall also but if this Hoosiers DR will perform the same then I'll just get this to avoid the hassle of the fitment issue of the RX-7 rims

Can't wait to hear the result from Indy and 9sec9....

Yep, we'll drive 127 miles one way, just to get the tires asap. Couldn't wait any longer ourselves. It's my understanding that Hoosier Reps will be there to see the results also. We've pushed the BFG's as well as we could push them. For some reason, a GREAT 60's just wasn't to be had. Hopefully, the Hoosier will have the right combination of specs. What I really look forward to is seeing how HIGH we can set the psi and still get the good 60'. Long day today with good solid baseline numbers to work with on the BFG's. Now, we'll see what the new DOGS on the block will do.

How high/low did you set the psi?

during all of our testing, the psi's ranged from 20/21 to 28.5. Various settings, based on traction prep. Tonight, 26 psi yielded the best results, but previously, we saw 21 psi being the best setting. The only thing that we can see that was different was the track prep. Tonight, slick only cars. The 21 psi was when ALL tire types were running and track prep wasn't as good.

The slicks actually weigh about 1 lb more than they show in the listings. Our 26X9/15's weigh 18.x, but list at 17lbs. Tomorrow, we'll have more answers finally. BIG list of people wanting to pick up a set if all looks good.
