motorcycle slick
hey guys i tried searching cant find anything. im trying to get tires that really grab. i have nitto 555 but the are doodooooo. im making 608 on pump. im running 11.137 at 129 but just cant get grip for nuttin and was getting valve float. valve springs are getting done right now but i need tires. i heard there is a motorcycle slick that will fit on a 17in rim. i have enkei rpf1's.
Wait a month for the Hoosier 245/45/17 Drag Radials. The motorcycle slick is only 7" wide. The 245/45/17's are 9.7" wide and will work well with a 8-8.5" rim. To run the motorcycle slick you should run a 7" rim. The only rim that will clear our brakes are Indy Performance 4258's. Hope this helps.

The rx7 wheels are very light I think they are about 13lbs. The tires on them are about 4 years old. The track I go to does no prep at all, it gets low 1.5 60ft's all the time, im sure if the tires are new it would cut 1.4's. It drives mint on on them, its still a DOT tire. The fastest it went is 10.33 @137 and it went 115mph in the 1/8, the car should go 9's. The car has never seen the dyno, one day Ill go and see whats up.
For the wheels I use 20mm spacers with arp extended studs just in the front. Its very very close to the brakes.
