Anyway heres what I got..You can see your suspension at work better this way, atco lets me get a pretty cool angle off the line.

agreed even though I am no where close to the power or the experience of you guys I gained 13whp when I switched to spark-tech non cdi system. I was using the stock coils with a .022gap to prevent blowout I even try swapping new coils on the dyno to test and I got the same results. Congrats to Big AL and to my friend mike for the great R&D from AWD Motorsport and the great products.

I agree 100%

The issue of spark comes down to the style of tuning, fuel used, spark plug gap and engine set up.

The choice of ignition is something the tuner / engine builder should use which meets his / her comfort level.

My approach to car modification is to modify as little as possible and don't change something which does not need to be changed.

For informational purposes way back about 6 years or so we saw similar gains from using a HKS Twin fire on a 300 whp Evo 8 vs 100% stock ignition

My thought was to detune it about 70 whp while I sorted the suspension to keep things on the safe side

Now that I have the car launching smooth and not breaking parts its time to turn up the wick on the power

I must say that its been so long since I had my Evo running so well I really forgot just how enjoyable it is to drive a 9 second Evo. I've had some back luck in the past and a few dissapointing suspension and drivetrain bugs but this last trip the car was very reliable and made passes all day with no problems it felt really good.

I am very proud to be a part of the team of loyal 9 second Buschur Racing customers.

not trying in any way to be disrespectful and being label as a f*g*tt but why it should not apply in your situation where you have more than double the "300" hp limit.

And I'll bet the tests described where a CDI system made power were on AEM cars right? I thought it was well understood at this point that the AEM ignition drivers for one reason or another do not control the stock wasted spark coils well. And because of the popularity of the AEM, there was a huge need for CDI systems.

Al are you on the AEM? I doubt it since you are on stock coils.

Well when I was making 1060 whp the cop units could not light off the spark so I went with the stock coils and HKS twin fire - now I swear by the twin fire 100%

Much respect to Al the Racer. How many people you know will load up their 9sec car on the trailer and head to the track solo.

Props.

How much stiffer are these to stock suspension? I live in an area with terrible roads, and between all my friends and I, we've realized that none of our coilover setups were ever as good as handling bad roads then the stock suspension like a set of bilsteins.
