Quote: I'm pretty sure I was shifting at 8500 and hanging 4th out to 9k+, my full weight evo went 10.41@135 on 93 octane like that with a 1.7 60'
Was that on a slick or radial? 26 inch diameter?

it was a 15" dot radial, I think it's just over 26" IIRC

That's sick. I am going to get a set of rx7 rims and slicks but my goal is a 9.99 on street tires. I really want it on 100oct and will try very hard to reach my goal. After this though its E85 and slicks and then some competition. 1st event Evo/STI at E-Town.

I think one of the Buschur amigos was tryin for 9's on street tires, he got close but I don't think it happened.

I've hadicapped myself by sticking to the stock maf just to see what I can get out of it, but I may start thinking about moving on. I think it may be time to release the chains hehe.

oh, here's the brake kit I'm running to fit the 15's

I like that kit. But I just spent big bucks on rotors to keep my stock calipers. The rx7 rims are 16 inch and still retain the stock calipers. I have found another 25 lbs I can get out of the car but it will be a while before I do that. That should put me right at 3100lbs I also think the car needs to be aligned properly and corner balanced. I think that will help out some.

Its a hard task I'm sure but its worth a shot. If the car breaks well that's the price I will pay. But that's racing and I enjoy this very much. If I can't do it at least I added my name to the "I tried" list and that's all that matters to me. But I'm not quiting without a fight. Lol

Just went through this whole thread, Congrats on your times man! I remember seeing you and your car at the shootout in the Best Western parking lot. The car looks sick and you will get 9s soon enough. Congrats

agreed. i dont know what type of standalone you are doing mellon but IMO since your a self tuner im sure you can get it running better then the factory ecu can do. dont get me wrong. i loved every minute of my stock ecu setups. i then went wild with a built motor and other stuff. i tried SD/ecu and it worked out well at the tune day ''ohio'' then when i got home the car would not move. literally. i then decided the car was to much for Email tuning as the car was not showing what it was doing in the logs. and it really needed to be hands on tuned. being jestr is located in FL and i am in NJ it made sense to try another option. i chose iveytune and the Fcon/stock ecu and with how well sean takes care of me and how well my car is running i would never look back to the stock ecu tuning.

make the move and run 9s kid.
