Evodan new personal best 10.37 @ 137 MPH
i woke up. got a bacon and egg and started the car. drove to the bank and cashed my check. then drove to inspection. pulled in. and they hooked it up. slapped a new sticker on it and off i went. just like a soccer mom's caravan just a little louder. HAHA.
a 6 point is perfect for me. i would not mind a full cage but IMO its crossing the line of being a conferable safe street car. ''for an evo that is''. the swing outs i want for when i drive on the streets. so i can remove them. then when i goto the track i can put them in. that i feel gives me some flexibility.
seriously impressive!! way to go sean youre tune is clearly kicking ***. Im happy as hell dan and you are working together. those HKS ecu's have so many advantages its really cool
hey bud - great to see things continue to work out for you. Regarding the cage, i definitely agree 6 point is the way to go - however there are many different designs for the forward bars, I don't recommend swing-outs. I have removable bars in my car right now and ive done alot of cages since my car and im itching to cut them out to go back to a lower side bar. Ill be in NJ real soon, if youre free lets meet up i can show you exactly what im talking about.

if you must do removables, then use the interlocking style - dont use the tab/clevis with a bolt thru it, they come out really poorly. the best way IMHO is just run welded bars lowish, just above the seat. you will barely notice these and no tech guy has ever complained.. but its your car!!
also, its worth it to weld braces from your main hoop to the B-pillars, this stiffens the unibody up a LOT, and doesnt take much time or add much weight.
sean - ill be on the east coast in a cpl weeks, will try and come visit
