Extremely disappointed in the vendor and shop turn out.
None of the big sponsors showed up. Pretty much none of the cars that conpeted in the Showdown 16 last year, came this year. Turbo trix only made one pass in the race car. I assume they broke something since they coasted to the finish line. Al didn't even show.

Everything Raif touches is bound to go low 10s high 9s.
I believe this is car number 4 or 5 now.

im pissed i got the boot. i finally was getting the car to hook and turned up the boost 5psi and they wouldnt let me run. i would of handed that white subie his ***. Raif would have won his class to if they didnt give him a hard time and give him the boot

 

I agree 100 percent. The event was horrible, next year I'm going to buschur's event!

Etown sucks *****. I cant believe they waited till the finals to tell me that my cage is not what they want, even tho it went down the track like 5 times smoking everyone. And then you get lucky to get back in cuzz they gave me the boot. You can thank me for that haha.
Did I say I ****ing hate etown lol.
But I still had fun whatever.

 

It was not terrible, It was OK. It was no 2005 Buschur Shootout either. Bean tried his best, but a lot of the Q16 cars broke. Not his fault. Also, there were some cars there that should not be racing. Follow the rules. NHRA has requirments, that everyone must follow.

I went 9.6 and hit the brakes so I dont get booted. They were very nice to me. Overall, E-Town is very good.

Oh, nice seeing all the old faces. For a test and tune for me, It wasnt bad winning Q16.

Yea that wasn't fair.. If anything all 3 of us should have been disqualified. We were all over 135mph and no 9 sec license.

This was my first Evo vs WRX Showdown @ Etown & I was not very impressed at all. Weather was great...seems like a lot of the big name shops cars are broken...Track "prep"...I either spun like hell or bogged...Also doesn't help I finished street tuning the car last night at 1 am & I have never been to the track with the turbo that is currently on the car...haha...

Oh well...I somehow ended up runner up in the stock appearing class....The guys running the tree loved dropping the pro tree lights on me right after I got up there...only time I actually had my 2 step where I wanted it and ready to do was during qualifying...I bogged sooooo bad in the finals...Oh well...there is always next year...Congrats 4g63evoeight for the win!

 

Got done tuning at 5am. (made some serious power might make a thread about it) woke up at noon. on the way to the track my tensioner broke.
got there around 3 and saw only 2 evos in the finals and one went an 11.like 9 or something. i was dissapointed to say the least.

it was also my first time at the event and it was very dissapointing not much of a good bracket competition.... there were brackets that barely had cars to compete.... the event supose to be until 7pm and I left at 3pm because pretty much they were down to the last rounds.....

ohhh yeah and one thing.... if subarus won was becuase of something.... all evos broke there e/t time hahaha... it happened to me no subaru got to me... :-)

 

I cant believe sti's won, I dont even put them in teh same ball park for potential!

 

So the subbie won but what was running the fastest times.
